interesting, but i agree on the price, 350 is just to damn much

if it costs 250 euros and i can drop my 6800 for a good buck or 100 ill do it i guess

im also quite excited the hardocp one does 475 without trouble, as it almost makes up for the loss of 4 pipes (unconfirmed yet, but im pexpecting a 16 piper) compared to a GT in terms of core performance

and is it me, or is a stock mem speed of 1.2 high for a GS? i thought the GTX does 1.1 and the GT does 1.0.. looks like a damn nice card then

if you look at the one in the german shop, it says that it has 1.4ns ram...
the performance looks nice, but i wonder if those numbers are stock or oc'ed. the fact that it reaches 475 is no real surprise to me, afaik, its just g70, but with more quads disabled, so the clocks would be about the same. im still wondering if it would be unlockable, or if the laser-lock them like they do on 7800gt.

it would be cool if they used lasered cores like the GT ones, so you could unlock em to GT's or something, but they might have locked them down all the way to 16 as well :(

and the dude on hardocp said his 3dm05 score was OCed, stock was a low 6k something

it would own if they were unlockable to GT levels, and paired with 1.4 ns ram :p

cant wait for the first reviews and cards to show up

The 7800GS costs more than the 7800GT, that's ridicilous!

Here in Sweden the 7800GT costs about 2800Kr/280 Euro, so why buy the 7800GS for 300+ Euro? :S

I don't see it anywhere on CompUSA. I even called the 800 # and it didn't recognize the Product ID# the guy posted on the hardcop forum! WTF I want one!!!!

I only said it was $349.99 retail price in my post over at [H], I never said I paid that much. :) I have a connection and got a hefty discount on it. As for the 3D Mark scores, I never put any stock into them I just run 3D Mark to test the stability of my system. All the games I play tend to run noticably smoother on the 7800GS as opposed to my 6800GT. For the record the 3D Mark 05 score was the only overclocked score, the others were stock.

damn, thats $400+ USD, sure its $23 less than what I payed for my old 6800GT, but its like $100 more than what I payed for a 7800GT.

Gonna be a perfect last gfx-upgrade for me. My 2 year old A64 is still kicking and coupled with a 7800gs it will kick another 1 or 2 years.

yeah, thats a good deal midi.
mark, an nforce4 mobo and a cheap 7800gt costs just the same, and performs better.
