    I dl'd em but not sure its worth upgrading to. I use a 6800gt and according to their official site and release notes... these just fix problems with the 7800gtx and 7800gtx SLI'ing. Plus 77.76 run pretty good for me.

    Anyone test v77.77 with the FEAR demo or on Guild Wars? make any difference from v77.76 or is it what I am seeing on the forums here.. v77.77 is just a tad faster by like not even 1%

    Doing that atm, hasn't done anything for the Hitching that you get with the Texture Resolution on Maximum that i've noticed

    damn.. guess its just cause its a demo build from april. Oh well :) downloaded v77.77 anyhow. If I get bored and decide to give em a shot i'll post how they perform for me but i'm relaly happy with v77.76 for now.

    Glad to see someone else is getting odd issues with Textures set to Max besides me. I know if you stop forcing AA and AF in the drivers the game stabalizes but maximum textures still glitches the game sometimes

    On the FEAR Forums it was stated that the hitching would be fixed with video driver updates before the final release of the game

    Does it fix the red beam coming from the sky in Farcry when using HDR that 77.76 introduced (& was in 77.77 beta too)?

  14. Ok i installed the 77.77 WHQL now, i've been using 77.50 for a loooong time cause they are excellent.

    all bench are in 1280x1024 with high or highest (i have LCD monitor)

    Doom3 @1280x1024 High 8XAF
    77.50 = 118fps
    77.77 whql = 119fps

    Halflife2 own bench
    7750 = 92 fps
    77.77whql = 94fps

    GTA:SA is smoother and less glitches

    FEAR demo singleplayer
    77.50 = 73 fps
    77.77 whql = 72fps (note - IQ is improved a bit from what i've seen)

    Battlefield 2 = the lag that was on the 77.76 is gone, gameplay is equal to the 77.50 but i notice the 77.77 got a bit sharper IQ in general.

    that's it folks :p

    I ran 3DMark03 and these drivers are not very good: 8950 with my system @600/1130 my 6600GT AGP and cpu@3200+...some 20 service were working background too...
    77.72 were better.
    But so long in games that I have installed - NFSU2, FEAR, LFS - everything looks ok so far.

    By the way, should I shut down nvidia service or not?

    awesome to hear Nvidia plans a new driver release to optimize for FEAR... anyhow ^_^ yes I got bored... plus v77.77 on my desktop kept taunting me to install them so I did..

    game performance..

    - gained 0.3 FPS in doom3
    - Farcry runs smooth looks good
    - Guild Wars so far has not had any glitching or BSOD upon exiting for me (tested twice)... IQ seems a tad better when it comes to fire
    - FEAR still runs choppy with textures on max but final optimzations + optimized drivers should hopfully fix this (FPS were a touch more stable.. no sudden drops from 70 to 30 for me when I look at water)
    - My friend reports NFSU runs very smooth and he's getting great FPS on it, no crashes or lockups

    Benchmarks
    Aquamark3 - 64,043 ( v77.76 64,164) -121 pts (no biggie)
    3dmark2003 - 11,497 (v77.76 11,344) +153 pts
    3dmark2005 - 5003 (v77.76 4989) +14 pts

    Unless guild wars goes back to crashing on exit these are keepers in my book :)

    These here drivers dont seem to work with SLI. Tried just about every goddamn thing. For some reason its not detecting my other card. I tried to enable it via device manager but it says its enabled but not working correctly:mad: Had to go back to the 77.72's and it works fine now:rolleyes:

    Very good drivers. They equals 77.77 Beta on performance (so very good) and they fix 77.72 bugs.
