so will the 6800gt kill the 7600gs in comparison of games and also last me longer?

  2. The 6800GT would be the better choice, even thouth the 7600GS is newer, the 6800GT is just plain more powerful. Both can do HDR and there really is no discernable difference feature wise between the two, except that the 6800GT is faster.

Despite the GS in the name I believe the 7900 gs will be PCI-E only

I heard the 7900gs will come out in agp eventually, but not for a few months. The 7600gt is supposed to come out this week or next.

As PCInpact.com reports by the end of spring 7600GT and 7900GT with AGP slot will be available from several vendors. It`s still unknown what woill be specs and prices.

why do you say that a 6800xt is better then a 6600gt...a friend of mine has a 6800xt stock and is a P.O.S lower scores then mine in 3dmarks....and when he unlocks the card to 16pp 6vp he gets almoast the scores i get....he has to overclock it to have better scores then mine..and for what??...80-90 point's right:3eyes:

i have a 9800PRO and i can actually play new games like oblivion on high/medium settings and get results like yours , 25-38 fpsish. It's just that i want to play and like everything up, where you can see trees from far and such and not lag and also make the games look alot better. thats why i am trying to buy a new card either 7600gs/gt or 6800gt

riva tnt2 32 mb man thats the only way to go....jk

i would definately go with the 7600GT when it comes out though.

oblivion is not a game you want to compare, it is possibly the worst game made, what ever card you get you wont get "smooth" game play at full details
