This sounded almost legit until I saw those prices. Now it's plain bullshit.
So what will TR offer over the 3950x, quad memory and more PCIe lanes.... but how many 60-80? more cores, and what else, maybe lower temp with the size of the IHS... but not sure if its make it worth having a 16 core still. I would expect to see them start at 24-32-48, maybe a 64 core down the road.
Any time some random stranger (who, in this case, is known to piss people off) starts stating random info and says not to ask where it came from, it might as well go ignored.
That's not impossible but, have you seen any precedent like that from Intel?
What's going to happen to you if AMD has the best CPUs for a while? I just don't get it.
lol I had dark mode on and didnt see HH post on front page linking this sry HH
They have room in the next TR for a better binned 16/32 than the 3950X, then we shall see at least 3 differently binned 32/64 TR parts maybe even 4 parts.
Then Epyc might have a better binned 32/64 part for entry, then they will probably have god knows how many SKUs of Epyc in the 64/128 range.... GOD KNOWS!!!
You can always tell the newbies.. we hear AMD is CHAMPION or INTEL IS....yet.. these "benchmarks" lol ALWAYS come out. Then.. we get to the real world tests and gee what happen?
I always have both intel amd. But Intel HAS chips out.. been out since? And Amd hasn't even launched yet. AMD is still playing catch up. The 3000 are AWESOME chips. But you KNOW they wont smoke intel in all ares. <---thats what will be left out but fans. So Intel WILL come out with something better.. and AMD will then AGAIN have to play catch-up. Been like this for YEARS. One is always top dog for a few months.
Someone asked what if AMD has the best chip for awhile. Net worth allone.. Intel is huge. Would not but a dent in them.. like Linus did to the AMD GPU (some will get it). So get over it.. You DONT want one better for awhile. PRICES go up. WE US dont ever want that. WE US want AMD INTEL to always going at each other.
Ok i have an official leaked video from intel labs, its abit large, so i decided not to embed it.
click on this link to see whats happening at intel
The blue-eyed guys can say they still have the more expensive CPU.
Oh....how many times have I seen giddy threads from starry eyed AMD fans...only to be...
I hope for all you AMD warriors doing battle with your (where are they) jealous mob of intel users...(and for competition) that THIS TIME, AMD is competitive core for core with the paradigm most here care about the most: desktop gaming.
TLR, until AMD proves they ARE better, this is just SSDD, no matter how many times you release the same AMD pressers.
If you like really high resolution displays you won't see any difference between two CPUs that are a few percentage points apart. The only thing noticeable will be the size of the dent in your budget.
These threads always devolve into fanboys going at each other, while the rest of us wait for Hilbert's benchmarks. I never understood why people who otherwise have no vested interest become so attached to corporations whose only raison d'etre is to make money for their shareholders.
Luckily CPU's can do more than just run games
Pride of an owner ship!
Dem 1ntel is p4rt 0f mah Idientiety! H0w dar u say somth aggainst 1t! Mah ego yo!
Don't worry, this guy doesn't know squat about anything unannounced. He claimed there would be no 16 core processor on AM4 platform ever, so.....
For me now AMD is like Power Ranger and Thunder Cats. They started small and now crushing Intel with every single direction. CPU's Including Security/Performance and even Price. and now on Consoles, Laptops and soon Mobile Phones. Intel are done for. I won't even think of buying Intel, there is no competition anymore. and I know AMD won't screw this up like Intel did for this past 6 years.
Intel can keep going with their Tick-Tock C** like they did all this time. We'll see where it'll take them.. uh wait.. we already did. BOOOM
It's great that fanboys are getting excited about this and dissing the opposition, shows there is some competition still in this sector and gives some entertainment. Long may it continue.
I'll be interested to see how the 3600X performs. Has enough cores for most home uses and with air cooling should be able to get them all running speedily. Good bang per buck perhaps .
"No PCIe 4.0 but that's not a big deal. PCIe 5 is coming sometimes next year."
So after all that you are saying don't buy this, wait till next year?
You'll never make a good door to door salesman with that patter
Some leaks already showed 3600x beating the 8700k. For a 199/249$ thats really great bang for your buck.
I just want to know what kind of impact on performance the interconnect is going to have from motherboard to CPU. There's only so many lanes (X4) for the throughput of everything off the mobo to talk to the CPU.
So how exactly does that not bottleneck the rest of the system?? If one has an NVME drive (maybe two) there's eight lanes taken right there from the motherboard.
Something I've read about on how these cpu's will communicate with the rest of the hardware....maybe someone can elaborate more on this for me please....??
