Someone start a new game in Doom 3, exit out of the first airlock after you exit Mars City and see what the outside looks like; mine goes all black and I can't see anything until I re-enter the building. This definitely didn't happen with other drivers.

Edit: nvm, it's gone now. Hmmm...

You mean the airlock where M. Ryan the guard is sitting on a crate, that's the first airlock you can use. Well, no problem with 71.24 on my rig it looks just like it should, lots of red hills, dust, wind and a metal bridge over to the next airlock!

    This is on a GF3 :)

yea i got a significant incrase in 3dmark05 depite using lower clock speeds on the processor and cpu, me thinks nvidia has done some optimising for 05 :)

**** you and all the rest you 3dmark stat whores. That pos benchmark is so retarded and its so ****ing lame that both the ati and nvidia driver team use so much time and man power to squeze more performance out of it than anything else, because thats how people meassure their e-dicks these days. "LOLOLOL..I HAVE 130K POINTS IN 3DMARK05!!! THIS ****ING CARD ROX!..**** THE FACT THAT I COULD PLAY DOOM3, HL2 AND **** LOADS OF OTHER GAMES THAT USE THE SAME ENGINE MORE SMOOTH****LY,...I GOT ****ING 130K MARKS!!!!!!!!111111111111"

    Retards.

    im with satyr

    who cares about 3dmark

its not a reliable benchmark anymore

    play games

come and tell us how that goes

we all know that 05 is programmed PRO ATI

someone should get nvidia a message that we want gaming drivers not 3dmark drivers

    btw
i own a 5200 lol.. so no ati bashing please lol

its only an interrim card till i can get a good 6800 card :p

Chill m8 ... have a biscuit and some tea ...

I was just sayin' that this is, i.m.o., a 3dmark driver and instable as hell while playing ... Maybe you got this wrong ?

    Kind regards

All i did was save my game at whatever spot i want to take the screenshot, take a screenshot with one set of drivers, install other drivers, load the same 'save', take another screenshot. I you flick between the shots you will see that they are not the same frame (water is in different position in Far Cry and smoke is different in Painkiller)

I don't get massive UI corruption, but the toolbars are all fubar. Everything else is as normal.

If I switch to or from windowed mode, though, it goes away. (Which is annoying because it can crash when I do that.)

With the 71.24's I just noticed when I move mouse cursor over right side of menu in wmp 9, I get corruption on that side of video window and any visulizations pause and go to 800x600. When I move to any other part of screen it goes back to normal. Very strange. However the games I play have never looked better and frame rates are excellent.

Had prob with 71.24's too. used driver cleaner and in stall my box just didn't act like it did before. It benched out higher but was buggy trying 71.20 now seem they seem OK
