Seems to work fine for me. BF:V is good both for frame rate and IQ.

Actually this is the Dutch menu LOL, but everyone must try NVTweak, which can be found on Guru3d. This little program helps you enabling ALL hidden/lost tabs incl Nview.

Best drivers I have used since the 66.81s.

I ran a Doom3 time demo and went from 77fps to 84fps, thats pretty damb good.

Gained over 300 points in 3DMark05, same for 03.

Call of Duty, Halo and Painkiller have no issues to speak of either.

I don't play HL2 (beat it) so no problems there:D

    Oh yea, they are WHQL.

Only if you have a 6800. They aren't WHQL for me and my 5950U.

I'm still using the WHQL "offical" 66.93 set.

What's the word with these and the 5900 series? Anyone have a 5950U that would love to share their performance?

Hi Word, I find that if I don't run the cab cleaner each time, I end up having one problem or another, but if I do....everything's nice and grooovy again....from what I've read, thats the main tool with DC 3 that removes everything you need removed...so I've been using it every time.
Are you using ffdshow for codecs ? or what..

hey, i have a 5900U downloaded these drivers, out of desperation for the battle for middle earth tbh. i dont usualy use beta or leaked drivers.

but im glad i did. These drivers fixed my problem with the battle for midle earth where gandalfs spells or the balrog (the heat effects) were cast, that the screen would go black. now it gives me a very nice wavy heat effect and no black screen.

i also ran the CS stress test, and went from a consistant 62fps, to 64.7 fps

oh and no yellow water from me.

heres a screenshot i took (im using the DX8 water reflection patch) perhaps thats why i dont get yellow water.

not to shabby FPS tbh either since my specs are

    1900XP
    1gb of pc2100 ram
    FX 5900 Ultra 256mb DDR
    SB audigy
    40gb hard drive

I've got alot of codecs on my PC, because i have alot of different movies.

I have ffdshow, latest K-Lite Codec Pack, Xvid, X Codec Pack.

I didn't think it was codecs clashing because other people have reported this problem in the 71.20 thread. I might reinstall this driver set and run cab cleaner. Since its obvious that this driver shouldn't have this problem.

    Thanks!

well, i used dc3 and ATM are using the 71.20's i too have a ton of codecs installed. And when i minimize wmp10 and maximize screen goes black, i minimize again, and maximize and video returns. Had the same effects w/ 71.24's. I think it is a driver codec issue tho.

From what I've seen so far... the IQ is a lot better. My text is a lot sharper.

As for some games, I haven't tried anything other then Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory.

I'm going to download some benchmark programs and see how much of a performace [if any] increase I get over the 66.93 "offical".

yea i'm starting to think that myself now. Just completely re-installed 71.24 and ran cab cleaner and the bug still remains. I knew about minimizeing & maximizing twice brings back the video. WMP taskbar mini player doesn't work tho'. Also i get the same thing with quicktime movies if i rezie the movie window at all.
