double commander is a horrible interface version of total commander.

 

Just makes me laugh when companies use software like this (my last one actually did use 7zip). I'm not a security expert, but these days, I don't see the need to use such software, personally.

stop using winrar around the time i found out about 7z, never looked back then again I am also still using winamp 30+ years later and almost 10years after development got canned

there no need to use any of these cause "windows" can do for us?! other the fact i completely hate windows interface for this and how it works for same reason people dont use certain products cause there interface among other things.

as for "vulnerability" most this stuff dont effect people in anyway yet it people make big deal out of it

True, but it is free, multi-platform and the 7-zip is built-in, not a plug-in like in TC.

 

Thanks for these suggestions. I actually downloaded and installed Bandizip and will try it for a longer period. Powerarchiver is not free it seems and even Bandizip has chargeable advanced features.

I have noticed that these days there are many free programs for various purposes that actually might do things better than the most common option people have got used to.

 

This brings back memories and WinZip. WinZip and Windows 98 in college.

 

I am tired of hearing about these vulnerabilities. I will take my chances and continue using these programs. I highly doubt hackers would be interested in my UltraHD pawn collection. They have better targets with money lol not me.

It's not. I would remove it asap. You can call the command prompt and take full control of the computer with it. Those devs don't care

I don't know, I find it hard to consider serious a person who presents himself as an hacker in a public forum and shows his face in a youtube channel. He basically said that he blackmails people for a living.

 

Oooooh how I hate this type of people. Good to see their true intentions, sad to see this happening. No ethics there ... too sad, really.
