no unless the fan is 1mm thick .
what!? there is just under 20mm clearance for a fan, a scythe 12mmx120mm slim fan would work perfectly, Ive no idea what your on about mate
My MB (normal configuration)
can you see the space difference ? the shaman take 2 slots without the fan add a fan even slim you'll have a triple slot cooler .
lots of mobos arent configured like that, anyway look.
I dont want to argue the toss with you mate but it will fit in mine and many others.
If I had a second card to crossfire I could fit it under my Shaman with ease. I may have to get a thinner fan for the shaman but it would work. I do not have enough room below what would be my second card for a shaman though as my PSU would be too close. If I had a HAF X it would probably work in crossfire with dual shamans on my MB.
aye chas thats what Iwas trying to say without arguing, hope people arent like that on my review thread lol.
as it says for the sli/crossfire to work you'll need 4 slots even with 3 slots it's undoable
the link is from thermalright.
gah its because of the fan dude, the fan!!!! remove and replace with a smaller one and your laughing, its the 38mm you need to think about get that into your head man :bang:, this is the scythe thread, the more you argue with me this will turn into the bloody shaman fitting thread, this is the first time Ive ever asked OP to get back on topic lolol, Im done with this, il get back to you one day when Im rocking cfx
The bluprint of the shaman with no fan in takes 40mm aprox ,means 2 slots space without a fan
38mm, get that
lets talk measures and facts ,rock your head against the wall if you want .you cant change the fact that the shaman is a 40mm heatsink witch take 2 slots .how are you planing to add a fan even slim and fit it in a crossfire configuration ,this is non sens .the shaman will turn it to a 3slots cooler with a slim fan the end .
no 40 the heat pipe will run against the second card.
im not carrying on with this, I know the truth and have proved it fits, there is enough clearance for cfx in my rig end of, your trolling your own thread btw, the heat pipe would be nowhere even near to the second card, troll harder
No your the troller here and you didnt prouve anything .
it's my thread and i want to keep it clean of false facts .
your 1st post was
thats a troll
the thread is back on tracks guys ,keep the questions coming
actually pointing out poor results in a review is just fine, no trolling of any sort, your crazy to think that.
someone else could have come along with an accelero or something and said the same, would they be trolling too?
Dave, the problem is that you're arguing there is space for a fan in crossfire on a motherboard where PCI-X slots are three slots apart. In your motherboard, that is the case. In the OP's motherboard, the PCI-X slots are two slots apart, i.e. adjacent which I was trying to point out earlier. (I called that adjacent because the standard width of a card is two slots.) That is why he can't fit a fan on the shaman in crossfire, and given the fact that the heatsink itself is quite sizeable, it's possible the heatpipes would come in contact with the lower card when the cards are in adjacent slots. However if the cards are three slots apart as in your case, there shouldn't be a problem fitting a slim fan on the top card.
@ehtv that's what i'm talking about !
you can't physically fit two cards equipped with the shaman with only 1 empty slot in between just impossible .
Thanks for the backup
damn alright I give in lmao, look itl work in my board, not yours ok I wasnt disputing it and didnt say it would fit on op's board alright, can we all just be friends?
haha I think we just got our wires crossed somewhere, maybe you were thinking I was trying to say it would fit your board? dont know lol could have been the other way round, mate welcome to the forum we are mostly all friends here
