Without starting a flame war. I was wondering what brand (MSI, Leadtek, eVGA, etc) of 6800 to buy and if there were other places than Newegg that people would recommend. I love shopping at newegg, but would consider others. Thanks in advance.
I have the evga and I got it from newegg for $287.00 it's pretty basic. If you want a 6800 bundlw with a lot of stuff then go for the Asus or MSI, but you maybe paying a bit more for the card
Shame, the Galaxy is one of, if not the best 6800nu you can buy. I just dont understand why you cant get it in the US, doesnt make sense to me! Dont go for the bundle the card comes with, just look at the card itself, thats what you want to last, overclock and sell on....eventually
My BFG is a good one. Bought it at Best Buy. I raised the voltage on it, and was able to overclock from stock quite a bit.
choose from MSI or BFG if ur in the US. MSI has excellent cooler, one of the best. and yes i know galaxy has better, but as we said before, it's not available in the US. BFG just added a new cooler onto their card that looks vicious. and it has lifetime warranty. or u could just get the cheapest card u can and buy a NV silencer 5 and put it on with the money u save. dat's be like a galaxy den. here are some stores, zipzoomfly.com newegg.com bestbuy.com
My "word" MSI Your choice! why?...Good software bundle/games/support etc and silent all copper cooling soloution
Yepp!! Leadtek works fine, are quet and stay cool even if overklocked. If you like the Galaxy Glacier just buy Artic cooling rev-5 and mount it... its exactly the same cooler.
I'd have to say MSI cuz of its nice cooler, but if u don't want to pay too much i'd say leadtek cuz they seem to be the cheapest ones u can get And hey crazyray how are ure temps at the speed your running your card at? Stays cool? I've read they are the hottest ones because of the slow fan....
