6800GT vs 7900GS in power consumption

    Hey guys .

    the 6800GT runs great on my sys now ...

    could i run the 7900GS on the same system in terms of power consumption .

    Just Could Not Find a compare about how much it consum W' ...

    My Kids PC has the following specs and the PNY 7900GS runs fine with an older Antec 550W PSU. I've got everything O/C'd 10-20% over spec and have had no stability issues.

    3200+
    A8N-SLI Deluxe
    2GB of Kingston HyperX DDR500
    80 Gig HD (I don't remember the make but I think it's a IBM)
    Sound Blaster Live.

    Gainward Bliss 7800GS+ 512mb
    the 6800's were notoriously hungry on the power.
    The 7900 wont draw as much!!

    I went from a 6800GS to 7900GS, it uses less power I believe. Runs fine on an Ultra X-Connect 500W. I run the 7900GS @ 612\1600 perfectly. Just buy it.
