Yes, when I set out to upgrade my 560TI, I was done with the 2GB Limit. Even 3GB for me is borderline unacceptable to me. It is either 4GB or bust for me, especially if I am paying over $500 for a graphics card.
This just reminded me I have a GTX 680 2gb PNY XLR8 i need to put up for sale... It's a lot faster than 40%. If you were to factor in overclocking... the difference is huge. My 780ti does 1200mhz all day.
I had 680s clocked at 1280/7200. 780ti is much faster than 40% or so. At my 1150/7516 clocks I would estimate 50-60% faster than my max clock 680s. Stock boost is only 928 on the 780ti. They really shine at higher clocks.
Well if I can find a 780ti for a reasonable price ill pick one up, but I cannot justify spending 700 dollars on a single gpu, 500 max and that puts me in the Radeon R9 290x field which is real close to a 780ti.I almost bought that Asus mars 3 I think its called? The 760x2 gpu, now that was a bad-ass looking card,I could see myself spending 600 dollars on something like that lol.
