Yes. I run a 75hz monitor. There were many games that seemed to hover around 67-72 fps. Now I hit 75 fps to match the vsync.

This upgrade was absolutely, 100% free. So it was more than worth it.

Nice maybe you can swindle a 680 out of that 670 soon.

With a solid oc I could see it. The difference between the ram at 6ghz and 7 was pretty friggin big. Your probably right though. Maybe Skyrim with mods? Mine is all modded out and it runs a bit sluggish due to not enough vram, im sure if I had a 4 gig card it would run much better but that is just speculation.

That will probably be an 860, or whatever its gonna be called in that range. By then, Ill have a new cpu/mobo. (This I do pay for lol)

Callin' me a swindler eh? I buy this company's in-house product replacement plan...my cards always seem to go after 1-2 years. :) Sadly, this is actually true (always evga sc cards + frostbite engine).

Lol, once again, memory usage =/ what's actually required for smooth and fast framerates.

Been there done that 680ftw 4gb sli will run the same as the 2 gb flavor. Unless its modded skyrim and a couple other situations. They are few and far between exceptions to the 2gb vs 4gb versions of the same gpu. Thats why I had 0 problems "downgrading" to 3gb cards.

Because you buy their in-house PSU's. Don't blame the cards or a game engine for the shoddy hardware you buy.

Detective. It is NOT best buy that I am "scamming." I wish it was, and I would gladly post it here and tell everyone to do it. I hate Best Buy. But I digress...

This PSU was an "emergency" buy nearly 2 years ago. It is modular, and I believe it may be a relabeled Antec or Silverstone. It runs my OC 24/7 rock solid (gets up to 4.4), where my 700w Antec wont. I decided to stick with my Rocketfish.

Yeah. It works fine though. When it goes I won't be getting another.

EDIT: Actually, prove to me that it is sh1tty. Make the statement, back it up.

    • 509W combined on the +12v rail
    • 41A for a 700w PSU says it all (my 750W unit has 62A on the +12v rail)
    • No 80+ certification
    • Silly LED lights (typical sign of a crap unit)
    • Huntkey OEM, not exactly the best OEM out there, is it?

I really hope you didn't pay $100 for this sub par 500W unit.

    Happy now?

It's not modular. I owned one back in 2007 when I didn't know any better. It's a rebadged Huntkey Titan 650W(which in itself was barely changed from the 500W model). http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Rocketfish-700-W-Power-Supply-Review/556

It's not as awful as most Huntkey power supplies, but it's still not good.
