Cause now I realise how crappy my computer is compared to a 2500k@4ghz+ with some decent ram. "ME"

    4200 3d mark 11 score :stewpid:

You can keep the PSU, the Soundcard and probably the case.
But please, do yourself a favour and get a z68/z77 mobo with 1600 DDR3 ram (at least 8GB) and a 2500k

Totally disagree.A few FPS more doesnt worth an expensive intel platform.

    @ SUnSpot,
you shouldn't base your computer experience on a 3D mark 11 score.

yep, you should base your computer experience on your actual computer experience, when using it or playing games on it, how smooth it is and how satisfying it is overall. not some synthetic numbers. numbers for comparisons, yes. numbers for experience, no.

    shocking, i know.

Difference between Athlon II X4 and Sandy/Ivy i5 is a lot more than few FPS. Even i3 is faster in most games. Getting a good CPU for gaming is almost as important as getting a good video card.

    Tell us your 3D mark 11 computer experience after a 2500k @ 5ghz score.

Majority of games run just fine on any decent quad core CPU AMD or Intel. GTAIV is a good isolated example of a game that eats up CPU power but then again even an i5 2500K has issues in that game and also then again this is an isolated issue just a few games.

Even an AMD A8 is getting 60fps more or less in all those games you mentioned and an OCed Athlon x4 will do better in all those game than an A8 which is not a good choice of CPU for a power user.
