ok..my idle temp is 55c and my full load temp is 80c..monitored using rivatuner..is my card totally useless for scoring such high temp or is this the standard temp for a 6600Gt with stock cooling using forceware 71.84..any comments appreciated..im starting to feel scared..thinkin it will melt down..

55°C idle and 80°C are normal for me. I don't have much problems with it. What I don't get is that when I use my lazer temp gauge to measure temp. It stays low around 40-45°C. Could be a driver mis information still haunting nvidia drivers.
Don't worry about it. At least thats what XFX and GIGA-BYTE tells me.

    (Reply to 6600GT Temp Thread # 624623723...)

My PNY 6600GT runs at 60C Idle and 75C Load

Card is OC'd and I run it at 16xAF

    Your temps are fine
