Ryzen is almost twice as Fast, Damm I want one either 8/16 or 6/12 will do just fine for me.

Good news, very promising. I'm still in a sort of denial about new AMD. It's been so long.

I am running 1600MHz memory and get "same" 1695/6550 score.

But to the topic. i7-5930k @4.0GHz delivers ST and MT performance within margin of error to what this "leak" shown.

I think it is improbable that AMD did hit with SMT same ST to MT ratio as intel. I am not saying that I expect RyZen to be better or worse, just that this is more than likely another fake.

Anyway, I'll wait for Geekbench results. I like to see those values next to each other. In past some CPUs greatly boosted instructions not needed in general use of PC or for gaming, but that made such CPU look much better once values averaged into final CPU benchmark score.

Geekbench is friendly enough to reveal even memory performance for different scenarios.

My cpu right now is overclocked in a way that the base clock is 3.5 GHz (instead of the stock 3.2) and the turbo 4.0 (like in stock).
In the single thread bench the cpu works at 3.5 and the turbo kicks in. In the multithread bench stay always at 3.5 Ghz.
Same thing in Cinebench: the turbo kicks in only in the single thread bench, while in the multithread bench the threads work all at 3.5.
When I want the thread to work at 4.0 or higher I disable the turbo in the overclock. But my current profile is what I'm using these months.
But is a great cpu, mine stays at 4.5 without problems. Had a 6300 before this and was the same in overclock: 4.5 easy.
The bios of my motherboard doesn't allow me to enable the turbo to just some cores/modules. I can do that stuff only with Overdrive.

They using their top tier 6 core CPU against i5 4 core CPU....
50% faster comes from additional 2 cores of 1600X.

Doesn't look good. Unless they have difference in arch between 4, 6 and 8 cores, this is really bad.
AMD relying again on core count yet again.

    Single Core Performance :
    AMD 1600X - 1888 (88.4%)
    INTEL 7600K - 2134 (100%)

    PRICE :
    AMD 1600X : $259
    INTEL 7600K - $243

Pricewise, overall 50% performance gain for same money. I don't know, I can happy as consumer for more competition, but this is not CPU performance breakthrough by any means.

At 4.2GHz (core and cache) my 4770K scored 1903 single thread and 8208 multi when I did that benchmark... So, unless something went wrong with my benchmark, Zen at 3.45GHz + whatever it's boost is just about matches Haswell at 4.2GHz (at least in artificial benchmarks)? Niiiiiceee.
Yeah but for single core performance doesn't a 7600K boost to 4.2GHz? Clock for clock performance is what everyone was desperately hoping for and AMD seem to have just about delivered on that front. Even if they don't achieve the clock speeds we might have wanted this shows they have a good foundation to work from unlike Bulldozer... which was an unmitigated clown fiesta's dumpster fire. No matter how much they polished that turd it was still a turd.

Yeah, there is clock difference. However I thought it's 3.8GHz for Intel CPU. Does it automatically boosts to 4.2GHz if load on single core?

Anyway, just a bit disappointed it's price war, rather than technological war.

I believe so, Intel's site says max turbo 4.2GHz and that could mean 1 or 2 cores: https://ark.intel.com/products/97144/Intel-Core-i5-7600K-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-4_20-GHz

Edit: It says on the site itself max frequency for a single core, I thought some processors had the same limit for both 1 and 2 cores. I don't remember. Either way it's definitely boosting to 4.2GHz for single core benchmarks.

    AMD 1600x would be 3.3Ghz, 3.7Ghz boost

    Intel 7600k is 3.8Ghz, 4.2Ghz boost

Lets just say the single core performance used the boost frequency

If it scaled the same, AMD 1600x at 4.2Ghz would be

    Single core performance:
    AMD 1600x @4.2Ghz = 2142
    Intel 7600k @4.2Ghz = 2134

    6800k @ 4.1 Ghz ( I don't push it further for heat/longevity reasons )

That AMD is so darn close (and probably for much cheaper overall platform cost)

Wow, my cpu is a bit faster in multithreading as a new Ryzen core!
No need to upgrade for another 5 years I think :)

Not so good. It's been a great CPU but is getting a bit long in the tooth now. It's looking like AMD will give me a good reason to get a 1600X

not sure what you mean by unplayable.
i constantly get better results in any test/bench/game using the cpu for physx (3770k@3.9 all cores) instead of the gpu (any i had in the past 3y, incl 1070...).

I hope you were joking. Your cpu is about 5-6 times slower dude.
