Dear fello gurus, I have recently built a new rig with 5930k. I'm getting 21-25C idle and 40-45C Max for using Intel burn in test or prime95. all are default clocks without turbo boost and is cooled by a noctua d14 se2011 air cooler. Ambient temp is around 18-20C. is this normal for a hex core haswell-e? is this cpu meant to stay this cool or have I got a golden chip? As you can see my old system, i7 860 on a noctua cooler maxed out to around 60C. haswell-e clocked faster yet cooler than a i7-860?
