Hey guys, I'm using a HiS iCoolerV 5850 (non turbo) graphics card. I've found this sucker to be a little too loud under load. Just wondering with it's custom PCB design, would any of the aftermarket coolers fit?
even with a different pcb, it should still have the same mounting holes in the same position. so the only issue is finding a cooler that will fit those mounting holes without hitting the bracket. im using a zalman vf2000 gpu cooler, and it works relatively well. alternatively, you could buy a thermalright heatsink and attach a fan to it.
depend what you are searching, silent or performance ? ( reading your post i believe silent ) Zalman VF300A who come with HS for the Pwm and rams too ... advantage, it's fixed on the holes around the core, http://www.zalman.co.kr/ENG/product/Product_Read.asp?idx=385 I was try to find a test, but just find this "user "review .. http://www.overclock.net/ati-cooling/743972-zalman-vf3000a-review.html Or maybe Arctic cooling have something ... http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalog/main.php?cPath=2 edit... Rofl, just seen guru annonces the VF3000 GTX460-480 coolers on frontpage..read it cause i see some peoples have some interesting problem with AS5 + VF3000
You must have a very sensitive hearing or you changed the fan profile. Mines is very silent and max temp never goes beyond 70C
