5830 the most forgoted videocard

    why 5830 with 1120 sp seem dont much people buy it ,with 16rop 1120sp its behind 6850 with 32rop

    It's expensive;
    It's ineffective;
    It's hot.

    It was already a useless card at launch, so it won't be any different now that the 6000 series are out. Performances are closer to 5770 than 5850. Since 5770 overclocks better..
    Have a look at some reviews if you want more details, you'll see why it's not a lovely card.

    6850 will probably be almost fifty percent faster on average.

    becaus 5830 rop just 16 half from 5850 5870 32rop make this card have a large drop performance

    it is not as bad as everybody has said tbh , i had 2 in crossfire and it was not much behind my crossfired 5870's . how many have used this card ? , not just saying it is a bad card and not used it ?

    Had one when I was using a 5870 and it was crap. For the price, it was not worth it. 5770 was much better value.
    Maybe they were any good in crossfire but single card wasn't.

    it was better value than my 6970 tbh , does not perfom that good unless i overclock my cpu beyond 4gb

    5830 wasn't a BAD card, but 5770 was such a GOOD card that it was overshadowed. The 5830 was on par with a 4890 and to bear a 58xx class name it just didn't make sense. It was simply a classic case of too closely performing cards that didn't align well with the pricing segment.
