I am in dilemma. I want to buy new graphics card and budget is limited. So, there are two choices for me. Radeon 5750 or Geforce Gts 250. Can you guys help me decide?

if is between 5750 and gts 250. i'll say ati 5750 newer gen card and 5750 might perform little better than gts 250

I would say neither one, why? Because the HD5770 is a far better choice and the price difference between the HD5750 and HD5770 is not big so if you can save up a bit more go for the HD5770.

On a similar note, would adding the GTS250 for physx in a machine with a 5850 work, or is the GTS250 unsuitable for physx?

+2 i just bought a 5770 and i'm loving it. The overclocking ability is amazing!! and the price between that and the 5750 isn't much but the gain is great!.

Man, say your resolution. It depends how much money you can spend. As you can see from the GURU review 5750 is just 10-12% slower than 5770. If you have a resolution up to 1440x900 I'd suggest you go 5750.

Don't go for a card that is allready outdated if you can get one from the current generation...

And physx is just a gadget, unless you actually own (or plan to buy) a game that really uses it.

Spend alittle extra and get the 5770. Most games with keeps up with the 4870 which was a very powerfull card in its day.

I can not spend extra money, as I have already said that I am very limited on budget. Thats why I asked about these two cards. Also, It came in my knowledge from shop keeper that I can buy radeon 4870 within my budget too. So now I have three choices. Radeon 4870, Radeon 5750 and Geforce GTS 250. My resolution will mostly be 1440x900 or less.

    4870.

Anything less than a 5770 cant handle DX11 cranked up well from what I've messed with at 1920x1080. Toss Dx11 out of the picture becuase it will require a higher end GPU to run smoothly and thats already out of your range. Then choose the most powerful one out of the choices and it is the 4870.

Oh yeah the 4870 will blow your mind with the power it has. Defently get that on a tight budget.

If he's using that Intel E2220 at stock 2.4GHz I doubt he will see any difference between either of the cards..

    Thank you guys.
I will go with 5750 as I am not sure whether my psu will support 4870 or not.
