Friend asked me this how to get Netflix to offer 4k from his tower to tv over HDMI what conditions have to be met? No Gaming . Tower is 2600k 16GB ram needs video card with appropriate HDMI version I suppose?
That requires a GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card or higher with at least 3GB of RAM to stream 4K Netflix videos. Monitor must also support HDCP 2.2. Also, latest Windows 10 update for PlayReady 3.0
HDMI length will also be a issue as will brand, i think i managed 4 feet/5 feet with two XBX cables with a 4k booster joining them which were all really quite good quality, but above that was a no go, so the closer their PC is to the TV the easier it will be cable wise......i gave up though due to not being able to get a cable long enough that worked with 4k UHD over the 30 feet plus i needed.
For that kind of length you really want a fibre optic HDMI cable, I use a 10m cable for my PC to connect to my TV and I get zero drop outs. Only issue is they aren't cheap!
^^^Yeah those are quite costly, in the end the Xbox for 4k streaming and UHD discs turned out to be a easier option.
