I found a sidebar widget that I want to use, that basically displays the temp and clock speeds of my GPU. But to work it requires functions of Riva tuner's coding, or more specifically the Low-Level-Hardware monitoring service. I have installed the latest version of Riva Tuner (Windows 7) but cannot activate this or pretty much any other service.

Anybody got any ideas, and I already thought of windows 7 :)

    [edit]

    My system specs

XFX 680i LT SLI motherboard (I am upgrading in a week or so)
    ATI HD 4890
    Q6600
    4GB RAM
    4TB RAID
    620Watt PSU
    XFi Fatality Champion series
    Logitech Z-5500

Also if anyone is interested in some 8800GTS 640MB cards give me a PM

I'm thinking you need the Rivatuner plugin to support the HD 4890. This file just goes in the root Rivatuner directory to enable support for the 4890. I'm guessing you need that to get Rivatuner working with the proggie you found.

I uploaded it here for you..........

You may have tried this already to no avail........

    Hope this sorts it out.:)

Hey dude, cannot thank you enough. Worked great. Soon as I activated the low-level hardware monitoring (LLHM) the gadget came to life so to say.

Now, by any chance do you know how to have LLHM running without the window?

Never mind I figured it out, teach me for not looking first after having it working for 30 seconds (face-palm).

Thanks for the new cfg file dude, great help. If you are curious this is the gadget I am using can be found on this website:

Not what you think lol. It is the the "My Documents" folder that has my name on it. Don't like it floating around on the internet for no reason XD.

Is that the Pron folder maybe? You're welcome. I'm glad that fixed it. And that it is a nice gadget. I'll add that when I move to Win 7 soon.

It works with windows vista too as for as I know. But yer comes in really usefull when playing games as it is very light weight and doesn't get in the way like a full blown app such as Everest does,

I'm still running XP currently though. I've tried Win 7 & really liked it although I think its got a little way to go for driver support yet as my printer isn't supported yet & the codec's while built in to Win 7 seem a little flaky yet too.

But it is a really nice OS nonetheless & I'll be updating to it soon. Will add that nice Gadget to it too.........
