Oh God, if it's just like CoD 4, I'm staying away from it. I found that game to be largely mediocre. Nothing innovating at all, IMO.

That's just my opinion of course.

I find your claim hard to prove. A game doesn't have to be "innovative" to be fun.

For me it does (or if not innovating, refreshingly re-inventive). This is a matter of opinion, so for you it might not.

no, because you are not disabling CCC AI, disabling the dual card option in teh menu fixed this problem and still the same perfomance. The games never drop below 60fps, with everything max out vysnc on, 4xAA/ 16xAF 1920x1200.

The game is good but compare to COD 4 is not even in the same league. it feel just like every other WWII game outthere. i really did not see anything that haven't been done before in this game. After using COD4 weapons, COD5 weapons seems so much of a drowngrade. Also the feeling of doing different thing in every level in COD4, is now gone in COD5. pleaseeeee we don't need more WWII games.

No problems or artfiacts here with 4870x2 + 8.10 & hotfix nr 2.
Have almost finished the singleplayer, but performance could be better some places in the game, that will probably be fixed in the next driver release ;)

    I don't understand
What does the 2xPGU option do on the options tab?
And should I use it or not ??

Are those guys getting artifacts using S3 sleep or hibernate by any chance?

I get artifacts in Source engined games and COD4 after using sleep, all is well after a fresh reboot.....

I always use S3 Standby. I get no artifacts in any other game. I only got the "water artifact" or "water bug" whatever you want to call it in World at War. Call of Duty 4 and all other games have none of this issue.

I'm using official Catalyst 8.10, not the hotfixes.

XP X64 SP2 here. Your problem might be associated with Crapsta.

I get the same water artifacts with my X2. In the game under Options > Graphics..turning the dual video card option to off fixed it. No it will not disable one of your cores. I ran the game and checked in CCC and both cores are running at 750MHz when the game is on. I even over clocked the second one to 762 just to make sure it wasn't only displaying the clocks for core 0. The game runs fine and looks so much better with out the checkboard water.

The one problem I am getting is a white outline around small puddles, anyone else getting that? Def a driver issue.

I get flickering water in COD4 after using S3 sleep, and flickering / missing textures in Source engined games too. Nothing else seems to be affected. I haven't tried WAW yet but I assume the problem will be there as its using the COD4 engine.

Its happened on all driver sets so far. If I reboot my PC the problem goes away. Its not a big issue as I can still use sleep, and if I want to play games I just re-start my PC, but it would be nice if it wasn't there.

A quick google suggests this issue is widespread.....

Try using Vsync. That'll help with the tearing.

just to let you know ppl that the water problem persists with Cat 9.6; so I highly doubt it's a driver problem........
