I too don't know why it's encrypted. The shared folder is opened to the public. All I did was move the older files to that folder.

I lack the knowledge to clean drivers other than WHQL and official hotfix drivers

Seems like moving forward, starting with this driver, Nvidia is no longer supporting Win 7/8/8.1. Can anyone confirm this?

The setup.cfg check for 461.72 still makes allowance for those older operating systems. Perhaps they're not publically promoting that the capability is still there as a first step before deprecating it from the code.

For those of us with RTX 20xx cards, most of us have USB-C ports that we utilise with VR etc. How would one go about integrating USB-C support in these "cleaned" drivers?

I don't need HD audio - I have a SoundBlaster card that I use for outputs - I can't be alone in that. It would be cool to be able to remove these audio drivers like nvslimmer tool...

Thanks for this - I'm sure it's very helpful. Has anyone done any benchmarks which show any significant difference? While I appreciate this, I doubt there will be anything noticeable.

Download the RTX version. USB-C functionality works in it.

Regarding the performance difference, it's minimal. For all of the benchmarks I've made in the past on my rig, it was in an area of 1-3%.
However - keep in mind that this is just a stock Nvidia driver - not modded. Hence you won't see much of a difference if any. Highly dependant on the setup.

The main purpose of this is for the people that are conscious about the privacy in their system, and want to keep it clean from bloat and unnecessary side software that comes with Nvidia drivers these days.

I have bad news for this thread, no need for clean drivers anymore, I install now the full package and it is the same files are copied as the clean version.

p.s Telemetry are now copied and forced run by the driver itself, it is the INF file not by the setup, and there is no way to disable it.

so there is no need for "clean" drivers anymore, before it was useful

anyone have some insight to this that is "in the know" ? i know that they do have some telemetry in the driver itself no matter what, but supposedly from memory the brunt of telemetry and the invasive telemetry is not. and it is still worth doing.

    please advise.
