let's see what you say if R445/450 comes out with 2004
are you obtuse?
i said "445.23" as in, 445.23" not 445.anything else, .23 is an insider driver, it won't be a launch driver for 2004, and who knows where 450.xx fits into anything.
just relax, it'll be 445 or 446 driver from the 445 family, but definitely not 445.23.
I was referring to this quote when I said, windows 19041 is supposed to go public with same version RTM, not about driver v445.23, I know that one won't release with it.
Being close to a final windows build , it sure has lots of teething issues and some people cant clean install or upgrade when the system freezes. That's why i am taking few steps back and remain on 18363.476 for now, unitl things will settle down, regardless if i want hw gpu scheduling or not.
Indeed. I personally found this to be one of the most problematic GA-suspect IP builds of Win10 (it never worked on my laptop at all and stopped working on my desktop after the first WU update - although it works again after I restored my n-1 numbered backup with .21 installed already ... but for how long...?).
And to be honest, I don't really see any improvements from the "HW-accelerated GPU scheduling (neither with 445.23, nor 450.12)". In case there is any, it will probably need synthetic tests to demonstrate (which is still a nice thing if real but not nearly a "must have" feature, especially in the light of all this instability of the current 20H1 IP).
Gears 5 still acting up with Insider Driver 450.12 , but at least i can play for a while, no play time with 445.23.
