Discontinued (check OP link for future drivers) - Clean Version

Well, I have a new bug, apparently, they fixed the "freeze after sleep" bug, however, yesterday when I tried to shut down my pc, it froze on a black screen after exiting windows.

I guess that's a new feature.

This clean version also applies for the RTX cards or should I add something else next to:

• Driver itself
• PhysX
• HD Audio

 

It should work just fine, all of the core driver functionality is kept intact.

Does anyone know what the minimal install is for Nvidia Streaming? We know GeFarce Experience is required, and this is has its own dependencies -- but which ones? nodejs? backend? telemetry? updatecore? etc. I just went through 4 installs of the latest driver set culling directories and GeShit Experience still isn't happy loading up.

 

i supose is clean too much, without NGX not work DLSS
but still, is good work

Can't say I do, but if you figure out which combination works, I will add it to the first post. That may be helpful to some people in future.

Refer to the first post, there is a guide on the bottom of it how you can clean driver by yourself. Alternatively, use NVSlimmer software, it is likewise referred in the first post.

 

i just say, if you use clean version out of box DLSS not work, because NGX is not instaled thats all
supose in this condition missing core features for turing GK
NVslimmer its nice too

 

This is why I asked if the clean version of the driver is ok for RTX cards. I clean my driver fallowing the tutorial in first page, but I also keep the "NGXCore" and "NV3DVisionUSB.Driver" folders. If I remove the USB driver folder, in Device Manger I have one "?" no driver found even if my RTX 2070 does not have USB port...
Anyway, can someone confirm me that only these two folders are needed extra for the RTX cards? Or there are others that I need to keep?
Also, can someone update the cleaning tutorial and add a note about the folders needed for the RTX cards?

I wasn't aware of that at all. I don't have RTX card so I can't test it and will rely on other forum members for this info.

Could you, @VolterMort if you could retest it please, and someone else that uses this with RTX card confirm that for RTX GPU's you need those two extra folders?

@cryohellinc Yes, I will test it again. First I will install only

• Driver itself
• PhysX
• HD Audio

Then I will check Device Manager so see if I have "?" marked some device. If I have, I will install the "NV3DVisionUSB.Driver" folder. Regarding the "NGXCore" folder, is there other way than Battlefield V to test Turing Cores / DLSS ? Some free benckmark? I ask this because I don't have Windows 10 Build 1809 installed and I know that BFV should be installed on 1809 build to enable RayTracing settings.

 

all turing have USB , mainly for VR sets
maybe work like normal USB i dont try this
for testing DLSS need Final Fantasy XV second benchmark , enabling 4k and DLSS on in options
this clean drivers anyway work flawlessy but missing NGX core for DLSS feature on turing
for non turing no need NGX
ironicaly BFV dont have DLSS, for this time
game must suport DLSS

Working on it. Updated first post "clean yourself " guide with RTX specific features already.

 

-Added RTX section + drivers to the first post.

All key RTX features should work now (such as DLSS). However, someone with RTX card please test them out for final confirmation as I don't own an RTX card myself.
