I'm new here for AMD modded driver.

I use Adrenalin 21.7.1 , delete this driver with "amdcleanuputility" app.

And I download "UWP-PolarisVegaNavi-WHQL-SpotFix-NimeZSlim-Adrenalin-21.8.1_RSA-V3.7z" installed with Admin rights not get any error etc.

Amd install wizard finished well.

After a windows restart , I cant find AMD Driver app on the desktop Right click menu Or Right Corner side . How can I see driver UI

 

Okey I solved the problem . I forget the install that

 

Install the Radeon ui from NzSetup

 

How to re-enable ULPS? Not sure i need it disabled. My rig is too hot.Thanks.

 

ULPS doesn't affect GPU temperature. ULPS is a sleep feature to disable dGPU when is idle. This "ULPS" AMD feature is the common BSOD problem either desktop or laptop with switchable graphics

 

hello im new here, how to run a newer game with unity engine on legacy gpu? im always got crash when i start the game, and the error logs like this:
aticfx32.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module aticfx32.dll at 0023:71f818a0.

 

New to forum. Have been struggling with standard Radeon Drivers on a R7-260. I tried UWP-GCN-WHQL-SpotFix-NimeZSlim-Adrenalin-21.8.1-RSA-V3 with driver only. Works great as you can see with attachments UNTIL I reboot. When it gets to Win10 (21H1) Logon Screen computer reboots and upchucks drivers. System will run 24/7 with Standard Microsoft Graphic Driver. Can't get ANY Radeon Driver past Login Screen. Is my card toast or just a software issue? TIA!!

 

is the game software have Cheat Protection like EasyAntiCheat? Try launch with:

if still fail, maybe newer unity engine needs GPU with Native DirectX 11.1 support

• What pc you're using now? For Ryzen or Intel Skylake and later is recommended always updated with the chipset driver.
• Is your installing NimeZ driver without DDU?
• Please check the device manager for errors something like code 43 or 34
• Check windows update, it should "excluded drivers from Windows Quality Updates" after installing NimeZ Driver

Thanks for the quick reply! The CPU is an old Lynnfield i7-870. Using stock WIN10 chipset drivers.

I have used DDU and the AMD cleanup in safemode always before installing new drivers.

I have not seen those error codes in device manager or the event viewer for the card anytime. Always forces me ultimately to safe mode and I run DDU back to MS Drivers. See current attachment with your drivers BEFORE a reboot.

The "exclude drivers from Windows Updates" has been set in the policy manager for sometime now.

I am currently running your package without a restart and everything is running great. I may never reboot again. Strange stuff!

 

thanks for the reply, most games i tried doesn't have anti cheat protection and yes i have tried with launch code and still fail, i tried to use WARP too "-force-driver-type-warp" and the game can be launched but its very laggy and unplayable.
And this problem also occurs in most new games with unreal engines too

 

Is your windows 10 using MBR/Legacy CSM Boot? This problem should not happens on UEFI boot.

This problem caused by the game that required DirectX feature level 11.1, while legacy gpu still use feature 11.0, so that's might be a problem

Some DX12/Vulkan with Render Resolution titles even work in Fullscreen mode on this tools or magpie. Sadly on some dx11 titles need some work on fullscreen mode.

i'm also r9 380 sapphire nitro OC user using 21.7.2 bcz 21.8.1 is kinda buggy like it get crashed as same OC settings i'm using on 21.7.2.. so i had to go back and use 21.7.2.. its kind of stable..
