Hello, thanks for this driver, I find the perf gr8.

I am using an RX 480 and radeon overlay does not seem to be working, tested both minimal and relive option for ccc, still no overlay (CTRL + Shift + O).

 

I have same problem, but fixed last night. Try DDU or AMD CleanUp first, then overwrite current driver 21.8.1 instaler with this fix

So having a GCN GPU, what is the difference between these 2 dependencies? Do I need to install both or just one of them?

 

How did you enable SAM/RBAR on your 390? what's your platform?

Which GPUs are compatible with RBAR/SAM using these modded drivers?

 

DDU'd + used provided files still no AMD overlay

 

SAM/ReBar Possibility can enabled with GPU More than 4GB of VRAM, applied to Pre-Polaris GPU (GCN). At least with "recent bios" compatible motherboard from both manufacturer, AMD (ryzen) or intel skylake

Please try original amd driver before modded one's to review the problem.

 

I guess i had reBar with my friends 4GB RX 570 too. But maybe reBar works with 4GB only with Polaris

 

Both are difference, first one is for special edition "21.4 LTS"

old GCN gpu with 4GB vram like R9 380 support SAM/reBar. So i guess 4GB VRAM are minimum to run these feature.

 

Sorry for all the questions, but its not very clear to me what the proper install process is or what dependencies to use.

So, which one should I be using for my GCN card?

If i am not mistaken there is no 390 with 4gb vram. I would like to download the bios if there is.

 

EDIT, it's R9 380.

 

GCN min 8GB and Biossupport i think it needed for RBAR/SAM works. But not 100% sure.

Is the gcn ver worse then regular?

 

GCN arch, if using regular driver like 21.4.1 - 21.5.2, yes is worse. 21.3.2 is the last good driver for gcn.

 

i have an rx 580, should i get the navi ver

 

Use Polaris/Vega/Navi driver. But if you're using Windows 11, use WDDM3 variant
