    Dear Gurus

I'm planning to buy a new laptop & need your advice. For £549, I'm getting the following configuration for Dell Studio 17:

    Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T4300 (2.1GHz, 800MHz, 1MB cache)
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
    17.3” High Definition+ (1600x900) LED with TL
    3072MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [1x2048 + 1x1024]
250GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650

My concern is related to RAM. Would there be any significant performance benefit with 4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]. As going from 3gb to 4gb requires additional £40.
