Not to happy with the physics score and feeling that the CPU is holding the GPU back abit. My spidy senses are sensing a haswell coming my way.

See bold, I interpreted the post as gurus talking about Physics and improving the Physics score. If your "beat ya both" was Physics score, it would have related to their post, and that was the point.

well you know 2600k is not a haswell chip

so don't get why you made that connection

I said beat both ya as in overall score :3eyes:

browsing through thread not many have breached 16k GPU score

    Connection is
    TK graphics score =14,362
    Steppzor graphics score = 14,417
I agree with TK graphics scores are almost the same.
    TK Physics score =13,091
    Steppzor Physics score = 9,354
    k3vst3r Physics score = 12,342
TK link his 3DMARK to show Physics scores with 2600K. Yes, we know 2600K iis not haswell, but it is a given that Physics scores will be higher with haswell.
When I saw your post, I misread you for supporting TK. I believed your post was regarding improved physics by linking to a higher Physics score on your 2600K,
we know it is not haswell but understanding haswell is better.
So, that was the reason for the connection.
Very nice 3DMARK on your old 2600K.
You have haswell in you specs, how much improvement did you get from the upgrade?

few hundred points here an there problem is my 2600k did 5.1 an this haswell will only do 4.7 max without crazy insane voltages which will nuke chip in minutes

    1.35v ish

    4.7 requires around 1.45v

4.8 went high as 1.5v still wasn't stable

played with cpu input voltage went from 1.65 all way to 1.9v

competitive spirit? where's it gone

I`m more old school, I just post the links and let them do the talking. I posted my link in this thread a long time ago, I reposted it to show a cpu/mb upgrade will be very helpful in getting his firestrike score higher than it is now. I thought that was self evident? I will try to be more clearer in the future as not to confuse some of the members in this thread

Okay Steambox/livingroom rig update replaced the 6950/70 with a 770 lightning this is a overclock with no voltage increase http://www.3dmark.com/fs/937483

I will go for more at a later time but that's all for now. 1306/7600

Yeah that is toasty, I need 1.233v for 4.6ghz.

btw leave Vccin aka input voltage at ~ 1.80v, apparently higher input means less cpu voltage, but i didnt see this trend.

Not overclocked my cards for a while thought I would overclock a little for fun. Don't need them overclocked for every day use as they run everything great at Stock @1080p

Classy 780 on stock cooler/DCII on AXIII an the arcitc cooler runs -18c less at the same 1.3v.
That's all fine but the classy runs faster anyway :)
