    only 5970 is working

my third card is not working at all and if I disable it i get 6900 3dmark score on stock

with crossfire enabled 5970+5850 i get 6280 3dmarks (basic edition)

all games and other benchmarks are working awesome using cat. 10.10c or 10.11

    I'm a bit dispointed about 3dmark 11

Hi Hans Dampf!!! I have a rig with Core i7-980X + HD 5970 + HD 5870. When I did the benchmark with Futuremark 11 with 10.10e driver, I only got P8086 and X2989. But if I did the benchmark with 10.5 driver, I got P11116 and X4106. According to the MSI afterburner, only about 60-70%(I guess 66% or 2/3) GPU is working with 10.10e while 90-100% GPU is working with 10.5 driver. It seems to me that there is a driver issue about ATI card (especially with intel CPU, AMD CPU seems to be avoiding this issue somehow. If you look at the high score board of futuremark of extreme benchmark, only the benchmarks with AMD core6 CPU are ranked now). If you try futuremark with 10.5 driver, probably you will get 14000-15000 score, I think.

Hi Keromyaou! First of all: Welcome to the forum!! :)

Great find man! I will try that when I am back from work.
    Did you test the 10.5 (-> a ??) incl. CAP4 or without?

Seems I will need a new driver install anyway, because switching CFX Off to On gives me now just a black screen!

What keromyaou said seems to make sense as your vantage score is where it should be so something is going on with the drivers on this benchmark with intel cpus. Hopefully the 10.12's will be out real soon.

    @ Stampede

Actually 10.5 /-a is not the driver I would use for gaming because it does not support CFX well in Eyefinity mode. The first driver, which scaled correctly was 10.7a.
But well, just for a test run on this new Benchmark I will give it a shot. :)

Definetly something funky going on with the later ATI Drivers.
I did these tests with the same settings across both 9.5 and 9.10e and look at the difference!

    1st column is the 10.5 result with GPUs' @ 900/1200 and the 2nd is with 10.10e @ 1000/1300.
For some reason 10.5 triggers a hard shut down whenever I change the overclock so I have to run with the bios flashed oc's on 10.5 @ 900/1200.

Looks like it is the drivers screwing up with intel processors, hopefully this issue will be dealt with soon.

Thanks for your effort on rechecking that! I will do so now, when I get home and will report here later.

Are we talking about 10.5 or 10.5a ??
    Pls let me know.

Guess it is 10.5a which many users still prefer because of the better CFX performance on single screen.

looks nice, even in gpu4 test above 50fps ^^, so all you need is 3 x480gtx and its ok :p
    :)

but did you saw, your cpu isn't recognized so it doesn't count in list...
    lol amateurs:bang:

Hi Hans Dampf!!! I did futuremark 11 test with 10.5 driver (not 10.5a). I added the Cap4. There were only a minimal increase in the score. I added the hybrid Physx (260.99, I have 9800gt in the rig as well). It didn't interfere in the benchmark. So I think that you can keep your gtx470 in your rig without problems.

I would keep it inside anyway .. I have not yet finished Mafia 2 .. :)

BTW: You have tried the wrong one !! The big deal is 10.5a! :hbd:

Hi Hans Dampf. I used 10.5WHQL. I will try 10.5a hotfix later.

Ah, that is much better! I still think there is more performance to be gained but I think only new drivers would do it. I guess we'll have to see what the 10.12's have to offer.
