    So if I'm understanding you correctly, the shader intrinsics that Id Tech implemented for Doom and Wolfenstein 2 which increased performance on AMD hardware substantially, should now work for NVidia?

    Not necessarily. If Vulkan adopted the extension that AMD previously used as-is, sure. But if they defined a different one, then it'll require game updates to use the new "standardized" variant before that would be the case.

    I got a GTX 650, you still keep this drivers? Is better than newer ones for our kepler cards? I m currently in 391.35
