3870 kicks butt once overclocked!

I think you need to read that review again. The high scores you are looking at is the 3870 in Crossfire mode. On an individual basis the 3870 gets stomped quite handily. The conclusion even states the 8800GT as the clear winner.

HD 3870 does kick butt once OC'd....AND in Xfire!

I just upgraded from 2 powercolor HD3870's to 2 HIS HD 3870 X2's...sold my 3870's.

I should recieve them thurs or fri. I really cant wait! Even got a new PSU for them.

HD3800 series is really great. Very impressed so far!

 

Not necessary. The new 3870X2 is a dual GPU on a single board. So the performance should be equal to the Crossfire performance in that review.

 

I agree, having built my own set up I am naturally in love with it, but it really does kick ass.

 

lol your system is crazy, and then I look at the brand of PSU you had and Im like...WTF. Id damn well get a widely known quality brand PSU. Rosewill has a bad rep.
