The new Benchmark of all Benchmarks, 3dmark 11 arrives on the 30th November, which will be the new standard in both graphics and DX11 tech benchmarks... Futuremark will be flooded, but it's only MadOnion to them... lol

Its been postponed

 

Well I'm thoroughly unimpressed with the way Futuremark are conducting themselves. I've requested a refund - of which after a day plus they have ignored so far.

I dont like companies who conduct pre orders, by taking your cash before product is available, then moving product release to an undisclosed release date and then not even having the common courtesy to notify customers by email that release has slipped.

Wont do it again!!

 

They sent me an email the day before saying it was delayed and gave me a serial number to a game they make.

postponed by a few days.

Our aim is that 3DMark 11 should provide accurate, reliable and
consistent results from the start. With that goal in mind we are taking
some extra time now to fix a couple of difficult bugs rather than patch
the benchmark immediately after launch.

As you pre-ordered 3DMark 11 we understand that this delay is
frustrating. To make up for the inconvenience we would like to offer
you a complimentary copy of Shattered Horizon, the multiplayer zero
gravity FPS game from Futuremark Games Studio.

Hmm, might want to check your email

 

Yeah apparently because I bought it on the 29th, I dont get the email notification or the free game... I just fell into that black spot. Allegedly its my own fault for not reading their notification they posted later that day within their forums lol

Looks like I was just unlucky. Still left a bad taste tbh - even though I respect them for ironing out any bugs.... oh well.

 

I pre-ordered my copy of Advanced edition today. I couldn't stand having to make up multiple emails just to run vantage several times so I figured why not spend the $20 bucks...

 

Just wanted to update: The customer services came through trumps, apologizing and accepting that I had been caught in the gap between emails being sent out and new pre-orders coming in - I missed the boat in short and they fully understood.

Happy customer again However I will say this, I am never psoting in their community forums again - very hostile to my complaint. Still alls well that ends well and the CS were great in the end.

 

Pre ordered asswell now dont care if they release it next week or next month.
