@kx11 Have you tried downvolting ?
Can you compare with 2080Ti if you will get any crashes in these games?
of the GPU? fantastic, silent mode the gpu hits 70c max because of the 4th fan i mounted on it
i don't know how to do that
no i didn't, too much to work on to test this
Using MSI Afterburner, you can lower your power limits. This can result in a cooler running card and more stable but slightly lower boost speeds. Some users report actual increases in boost speeds, which is possible if they were already hitting temperature limits with the old power limit and lowering power limit simply allowed cooler running and therefore higher boost clocks... this is not my experience.
My experience is not much changes. Worth playing with to see if it helps you, but I saw little benefit.
Well done! And props to you sir!
Please post some nice pics for us!
So, in UK, where the hell is anyone able to buy this thing? Ebay and scalpers seem to be the only route.
Shouldn't give into buying from those twats...
I bought mine through Scan on launch day. Ordered it in the first 15 minutes for list price and it arrived last week.
You, like me, were one of the few who made it through the blood bath of launch day with a successful order placed and card received. Mine was only through the kindness of PNY living up to their word and keeping a promise I hadn't even realized they made, LOL! My good fortune is only due to the good customer service and professionalism of the folks at PNY. Specifically Lisette (Sales Manager) and Michele (Customer Service Manager) who were the heroes of my 3090 journey.
You received amazing service and I was very lucky that my order went through.
I feel for those people who are still trying to get an order in for RTX 3090, 3080, PS5 or Xbox Series X because everyone needs something to look forward to, especially at the moment.
Hopefully stocks will improve and AMD will offer some good competition.
Here it is !
Literally " I am the Motherboard now "
Wasn't intending to, but just saying if you want one, that's your main route.
Scan... every time I look at them it's out of stock. Everywhere is always out of stock.
Interesting comments on Scan denying they hiked the price through demand:
What a load of absolute hogwash - since when did a waiting time or 'uncertain supply chain' mean you have to raise the price of the item? The only consquence of these circumstances is a much longer waiting time. There is zero need to raise the price. They say their costs went up - where? And how.
Nah, that's basically no different to scalping, as MSI were caught out on too.
Yeah, same. Especially the 3080 and 3090 hunters out there, I do feel really badly for them and am constantly rooting for them and cheering for each one who walks away with one in hand. I'm less sympathetic to the console gamers, the PC Master Race does not acknowledge the peons
So I have this issue with my 3090 FE and it's when I play with power limit and set it to 114% my card power peaks around 390-395W of power but after playing a game at that power limit my pc will just shut down. Do you think I am hitting my psu power limit and it just shuts down? I am on Seasonic Prime TX-850 Titanium (not even a year old). It's only when I play with power limit
Here's one game where it will play for a bit and just randomly shut off my pc. Temps are good all around so the only thing I can think of is 850W is not enough power for this card.
Yup, that sounds exactly like a PSU pushed too far.
That x99 does still look good but a 5900x would fit there nicely.
