We drew 650w with Evga 780ti Classified with evbot, and this card has 2x8 pin :) I had 2x in SLI and the computer drew ~1700w from the wall with watercooling. 2x 1200w psu's.

A vbios won't fix their issue, they've degraded the DP IC via short circuiting with a pin20 enabled cable, the gop module has no interaction with the display once in windows and drivers are running so the lack of a display after moving the mouse and resuming it from its timed standby would only be a signalling fault.

The main and most common problem is lack of display signal on POST

Did you check Techpowerup if there is a newer VBIOS available for your card? Flashing a VBIOS from a different manufacturer may be worth a try, too, especially if your card has dual VBIOS.

Thanks for the tip, I hadn't. Unfortunately they don't have one. My card doesn't have a dual bios and I stupidly saved a few euros by getting a 9900kf instead of 9000k. I wont make that mistake again....

In theory you can flash with different BIOS and see if this makes any difference

I don't have such issues with my GPUs and all my monitors are connected with DP

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

TPU only has 2 bios for that card, neither of them have a build date recent enough to possibly include the gop driver recently released.

    Hi there

Yes I have run previously just for benchmarks XOC 1000W BIOS but currently running both GPUs with XOC 1000W BIOS and no issues to the date, tried almost every BIOS on my RTX 3090 and XOC is best in therms of power limit and performance and that's why probably I'm using that BIOS as my daily for few months

Regarding your PSU not sure there, with that maybe other guys will help you, I'm running Superflower 8pack 2000W PSU

My both GPUs are running under water as your and temperatures won't break 36-38°C in normal weather, in hotter warm weather temperatures are max 42°C and that's with power limit set to 75% and 105MHz on core and 1295MHz on VRAM, waterblocks I'm using Bykski with pasive backplate and VRAM temperatures won't break 60 on top and bottom one usually see 72°C in 24/7 rendering session

On my GPUs, both GPUs are capable of 2100MHz, top one is stable in 2130-2145MHz as max, 2160MHz is stable in some games but is not 100% stable in rendering or gaming and that's why I use just 2130-2145MHz profile which is okay, bottom one is unstable beyond 2130MHz and VRAM on that GPU can push only to 800-1000MHz as max(in benchmarks I can push it to 1200MHz)

Try first just core offset and test it in Cyberpunk 2077 or Control or Assassin's Creed Valhalla and other games, my GPUs usually need 1.05v for 2100MHz, there are several guys who can run 2100MHz under 1.0v, I think my will run at 1.0v 2040-2055MHz as max, beyond that it will crashes

Try 105MHz as start and compare clocks and try with 65% or 75% as power limit for XOC BIOS,in Port Royal I have seen power limit break 83-85%

85% is around 561W from wall on GPU and 75% is around 492-500W from wall

Many people prefer shunt mod than BIOS flash and for FE shunt mod is best way how to increase power limit because on FE you cannot use AIB BIOS

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Bios update experience with my Gigabyte Aorus 3090 Xtreme ...

The original Performance bios dated October 2020 gave the following:
    Power % maxed
    Core clock +141MHz
Playing Cyberpunk it settled on 2040MHz at around 68C, ambient 20.5C.

The latest Performance bios from Techpowerup dated May 2021 does this:
    Power % maxed
    Core clock +102MHz
Playing Cyberpunk it settles on 1995MHz at around 64C, ambient 20.5C.

    Both are sucking 441Watts.
It loses over 2% performance with the bios change.
The old bios is going back on :)

    fyi

I've tried a couple of bios from Gigabyte for my 3080 with the same results. So yeah I ended up flashing back to the bios with the best clocks and performance.

    I've got no idea.
There are no release notes and I'm not in a position to test it.

I was just checking to see if many of you found relief yet from the no post issues. I haven't seen the issue for quite some time now whereas before it was an absolute pain in the groin. When I now shut my system down and start it up again I boot into windows immediately. The HDR logo shows in the top right and the login screen is present. Restarts are the same. The VBIOS revision that I'm using is the RTX3090_VBIOS_v1.0.0.2.exe 06/25/2021.

For LG OLED users my C9 firmware is 5.10.25. C10 Firmware is 03.23.25.

Curious, what clocks do you get at your native res with rtx and dlss disabled, and no framerate limiters ?

    Still on the new bios.
Clocks remain unchanged with no RTX/DLSS, it still settles on 1995MHz.

Tried the original bios and the result is quite different.

With DLSS and RTX off it settles on 1995MHz.
With them all on it settles on 2040MHz.

    Why do you ask?
