That's depends on AIB, if your AIB didn't released BIOS update for resize BAR then please wait a bit there

From initial reports you will gain 1-2% with resize BAR if game support it

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Do you have same GPU than @PrMinisterGR if not then that's very hard to compare two different GPU and you are not OC at all and if he OC'ing plus some AIB coolers have questionable performance too

I'm getting like 36-38°C in gaming on my Palit RTX 3090 GamingPro with KPE XOC BIOS capped at 75% in Control or Watch Dogs Legion etc, but that's on water

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Under water with right waterblock and radiator setup I would expect you will be in 36-38°C and in worst case you will be in 42-45°C with quite good OC on core and VRAM

88°C on VRAM is not bad with air cooler and in my case I'm hitting like 52-60°C on VRAM in gaming and in rendering I'm getting similar VRAM temperatures I'm getting although core temperatures are bit lower in 32-33°C that's with KPE XOC BIOS capped at 65% for rendering and for gaming I have capped power limit to 75% on KPE XOC BIOS

Did you tried without VRAM OC if VRAM temperatures improve or not?

Good thermal pads like Gelid or Thermalright Odyssey will improve VRAM temperatures much more

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

I'm thinking that if I reach the point to replace pads, I might as well strap on the watercooling and be done with it. So that won't happen now.

From what I'm reading here and in Reddit, my temps are completely fine for an air cooled 3090.

Its not the gain that bothers me its the lies from Nvidia who said clearly we will have it supported because its nothing special to do and it was also Nvidia who said it was just a Driver optimisation/adjustment, clearly its not the case and now we wait whilst AIBs decide to release a feature that may or may not brick our cards should the flash go wrong.
It stinks from a consumer POV.

Well. I would have thought Nvidia would have been the first to release the resize bar bios for their FE cards, didn't they design these cards??

    GPUschade.jpg Village idiot here....
was proud owner of a Aorus extreme RTX3090.
noticed I had higher temps than others , so decided to check things out.
and indeed, the paste was not covering all of the chip.
so rectified that issue, replaced the thermals pads for better ones and proceeded to reassemble when disaster struck.
the heatsink slipped from my hands onto the card, knocking two capacitors off the chip...
    https://i.**********/wHWt6tG5/GPUschade.jpg

ceramic capacitor size is 0402, and soldering seems doable (it is broken now anyway!)
but I need to know the value to use.
    anybody any idea?

Damn dude, thats some serious bad luck.
I have the same card and have been thinking of doing the same.

This was discussed on Elmor's discord. Someone else ripped off this exact same cap and value next to the PCIE slot. I can't find the discussion but someone talked about it.

From the Gigabyte link we are taken to this page:
    https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/geforce-rtx-30-series-resizable-bar-support/
It says 3060 cards only until late March with a preliminary list of supported titles.
The NVidia site isnt ready yet, I expected a lot more current information.
At least it says how to tell it is working.

I did it for the Inno3D iChill x4. It was a terrible experience. Two black screens in between, without knowing what's going on.

Performance is great though (tested in RDR2 and HZD). It feels like the whole thing breathes better, especially with HAGS On.

I believe I found the keys that enable ReBar for games, I'll try to post some details tomorrow.

Make sure latest nvidia driver, latest mb bios, csm disabled in mb bios, resizable bar enabled or on auto in mb bios, 4g above decoding enabled in mb bios and vbios update from card maker.

Just wait for someone to upload theirs and flash it, how'd you think us 20 series owners are looking for a Bar Hack from the Russians? Or even Chinese if it ups hash rates lol.

Hi Guys and Girls. Just updated my 3090 FE with the bar using the Nvidia updater tool. I thought I would check to see if it was a whole bios update, it was not. So when I checked on the GPUZ site there was in fact a newer bios for the 3090 FE. I downloaded and installed the newer bios, I then run the Bar updater tool and it said was already activated. So the bar is just a software switch within the card and remains active if the bios is updated on the card. Just thought I would let you all know if some one happened to wonder. Thanks
