Someone need to test early 3080Ti driver vs the new one 496.13 IMhO there will be 5-10% boost in 1440p/4k Ampere is not at full performance for sure.
Have any of you seen limitations with your cards yet? I speak of gaming limitations. I've been up practically all night testing my framerates, image quality and sound configurations. I was messing around with the resolution scaler in Gears 5, RDR2, Mafia Remastered, Kena, FH4, and Soul Calibur 6. Our cards are pretty formidable with most applications. The resolution scaler began to make framerates suffer of course but, it's nice to know we can give visuals that extra push due to our hardware. Dolby Atmos gave me and extra 5-7 FPS compared to 7.1 PCM. That was a cool little boost. I don't know what the 4000 series cards will bring in regards to real world performance. Ampere seems like it's going to hold the frontline for awhile. I hope. The real test will be a true next gen/this gen application. I'm excited for FH5. I've had my system for almost a year now. (December) Ampere has been good to me. No complaints outside of not posting regularly at first.
So this is the reason lots of reviewers are afraid to including Cryengine games into their benchmark suite, the battle is just too lopsided
AMD/ATI have a long road ahead to Fix this kind of silly situations. It looks really bad IMhO. In the end of the day we pay the same for any vendor It's VLK Cryengine BTW so ATI should be good in this.... Hard Flop TBF...
This imbalance is crazy. I'm trying to remember if there ever been this much of a one sided blowout with this huge of a framerate difference?
Sadly Yes, just go couple of pages back here & in Vega thread. Im now posting Benches here (w/RT) as i have now 3080Ti. AMD has some problematic engines/games that don't like their GPUs....
They don't have one ATM (Pick EN) -> https://gamegpu.com/ Variety of CPUs/GPUs + some other interesting stuff like VRAM/RAM for every test. If You need some older Games check our Vega Thread
oh boy i wonder what the VRAM loving fans will think when Nvidia GPUs with lower VRAM beating AMD GPUs with bigger VRAM pool at 4K Extreme in FH5
Hi guys, i also own a TUF Gaming LHR nonOC Card. I like to improve the temps of my card. Especially the VRAM. Card is already running in UV. Now i want to switch the thermalpads and also add one to the VRAM heatsink. Did some one have a overview of all Pads and thickness. Dr. Google always show Pads of RTX 3080 Cards. Not sure if there are difference between the pads of the cards. Thank you for any help.
