Are you comparing native ultra textures to dlss quality high? Game looks better on 6700xt and it runs better.

it also crashes out of vram.

It does crash after it spills to system memory and leak ovetime. Games uses even more vram at 3440x1440 my old 3070 would be having such a hard time i imagine.

Im running native high textures everything else on ultra now to keep it in check. So far so good.

    Fsr2 here looks decent also.

7900xt 20gb would solve all my issues and able to run natively without running out of vram.

If only it was cheaper :)

    it will be soon.
they're already saving its ass with a game bundle. last time that happened for 6900/6950, it was only a few weeks until they dropped down to 650eur.

8GB 7600 get completely demolished when out of VRAM, meanwhile 8GB 4060Ti still runs fine LOL

4060ti should have come with 10GB, then it would have buried 6700XT

yeah nvidia and amd handle vram differently. had out of vram crashes on 6800 in rdr2 native (repeatable) where 3060ti ran fine with dlss.

amd ruined the resale value of these cards too cause of all this rdna2 dumping. I just managed to sell the 3060ti for 290eur, while used 6700xt's are sitting there at 240eur.

    Aren't you grasping at straws?
Both 7600 na 4060Ti are smooth in TLOU 1440p High, and BOTH are stuttering when switched to Ultra. 4060Ti is not fine. Although 4060Ti is running much faster and is also muuuch more expensive gpu. We are talking about RX6800 16GB price teritory.

Resident Evil 1440p "Prioritize graphics" - both gpus are fine, and when switched to "Max preset"-both GPUs chocking and stuttering,

Too bad we can't see the power of 10GB 4060Ti ;)

Doesn't bode well for rx7600 vs rtx4060, since the 4060 has better VRAM management it shouldn't completely crater unlike rx7600 in VRAM heavy games

I think amd are trying for the games to crash since all my rdr2 "not enough resources" crashes happened at 14gb usage, nowhere near 16gb. good strategy for people to buy up.

yeah, both run fine, except for 7600 slower than 6650xt and 4060ti matching 3070.
also, lol at 6800 being 40-45% faster than 6700xt at 1440p already.

Yeah. Seems like when running out of VRAM Nvidia handles swapping better , but still both GPUs run out of memory at the same time, and it's straight up better to just have more memory. Not only when looking at the frametime graph, but also visually as tested by DF, textures may just not load at all on some objects.
But Nvidia is going this way anyway, they are preparing textures compression shenanigans probably for rtx5000/4000 series only. And I love it. It means more VRAM will come on AMD cards for the same money.

my thoughts exactly. I've seen 8010mb used on 3060ti and not even fps dips or stutter, but rdr2 crashed on 6800 with just 14300mb used. weird.

Well 7900XT is dropping in prices pretty fast LOL, They are selling for 800eur at mindfactory already.

What the audience don't get is that the less AMD earns on their hardware, the less they will spend on software support, that means good hardware but shitty software.

Meanwhile Nvidia is spending alot on software support like continual improvement on DLSS, video Super Res, AI texture compression, path tracing, rtx remix, etc...but somehow Techtubers dont care about any of that ;), sometimes I wonder if techtuber care about tech at all or just perf/dollar bean counters

If you use production software that actually require a boatload of VRAM, then good, otherwise you will pay for VRAM either by lower price to perf or crappy software support.
Where are all those features AMD promised 6 months ago LOL

They promised some Hyper feature which will activate RSR + antilag + radeon boost. Who is waiting for that ? :) This will probably be pretty bad.

oh yeah fake fsr3 frames, that would be interesting maybe

fsr1 + resolution drop in motion - and you have to wait a year for that "feature" lol.
get me fsr2q as good as dlss2q and I'll ask nothing more.

Well FSR3 would be interesting to be made fun of in light of Frame Generation ;), just like FSR1/2 vs DLSS
