Fan percentage value is meaningless, of course it's about rpm. I don't think paste is that bad, as hotspot temp doesn't explode, but increases gradually, despite my slow custom fan curve.
Not a fan of keeping ASICs cool for the sake of keeping ASICs cool, it's pointless.

I don't think there's much to brag about when this happens once 3070/3060Ti is not vram limited (e.g. by using ultra textures vs ultra nightmare)

@Undying which is Ultra Nightmare and which is Ultra, if textures are so crucial in eternal you should tell very easily. Just the textures changed.

Striking visual difference, definitely worthy of constant bashing of the 3070 and sacrificing a 70% difference in rt performance between 6700 and 3070 just to see those extra texture details.

Really don't think it's 70% anymore when I get more fps than on the 3060, looks like drivers have caught up quite a bit.

Also getting really nice fps in Metro EE with RT Ultra, while 3060 was absurdly CPU bound:

Its really strange to see things you're describing using 3060 with RT on, I never had any CPU related problems on a faster 3060ti in both witcher 3 rt or metro ee using 10700. I think 6c/12t is just struggling with RT enabled in open world games.

It's not that simple as about "open-world games with RT", DL2 ran totally fine. And also doubt it's about 6C when CPU utilization is well below 50%. Btw. what are your fps in that Metro scene (RT ultra, details ultra, hybrid reflections, 1440p DLSS Q)?

I had rt reflections on and also had game capped at 90fps anyway for the entire playthrough. I'll see if I have a manual save there, but I don't think so, I don't remember doing manual saves in ee. Found a screenshot with the exact same location, overlooking the church from the tracks, but it's at 90fps cap.

Its more like 40-50% faster rt performance on 3070 but ironically latest games run better on 6700xt due having 50% memory. Amd card can enable rt becouse of it and 3070 cant in few latest games. Im saying again whats point having superior rt when you cant use it?

For some reason games running smoother on 6700xt it has more headroom, it stutter less in all games i tried even if fps is lower in some cases.
Hogwarts was having issues even without rt at 1440p that is unacceptable.

Don't wanna try to guess which SS has Ultra textures and which has Ultra Nightmare ?

You can already see more stutter in Fortnite on the Nvidia card in that video. But since he just uses a replay sequence without traversing the map much, this is still harmless.

Yeah, the 6700XT is significantly smoother than the 3060 Ti.
And considering that UE5 is going to be the most used game engine of this generation, that is a good sign for anyone with a 6700XT.

And the 3070 is just a glorified 3060ti with the same limitations. According to techpowerup 3060ti and 3070 are 17% apart. 6750xt to 3070 is just 7% and to 3070ti is 15%.

And graph would be even flatter with anti-lag enabled. :)
But wouldn't recommend it for online shooters, since lag is still much higher than with in-game limiters or Reflex. But it can prove valuable in single player games.

Read the last few pages and still don't know what the best experience for playing competitive Fortnite is, radeon dx12 + anti-lag or nvidia dx11+reflex w. boost.

In-game limiter or Reflex, anything else is noticeably laggier. Just forget about DX11, it can only have higher overhead than 12. And even with the latter, the game nowadays can cause quite some CPU load.

If so why did you buy 7900xtx? :p

I was happy with my 3070 three months ago let alone 1 year. Recent development and games changed my mind.

so 3070 is noticeably faster than both 3060Ti/6700XT, while having noticeably better upscaling (which you will have to use all of the time with the latest games anyways) like in Daniel video fort.jpg

In my city second hand 6700XT are selling for around 220usd, same as 3060Ti,
Second hand 3070 are ~300usd, which is the same for rx 6800 too.

If you had gotten rx 6800 instead of rx 6700XT (and pretend 6700XT is somehow better than 3070), I would actually support you :p

I could not get the 6800 is noticeable more expensive than 3070 here actually even more so than 3070ti. Talking about used marked.

Dont worry im getting 7800xt anyway when its out or maybe 4070 and get that dlss3 goodness. For now its fine so stop trying to make me feel bad. :p

I just uphold my promise, a year ago you said you were about to pay 200eur to upgrade from 2080S to 6700XT and I said I would make fun of you :D
