Vsync Stutter has not been fixed at all in Windows 8 RTM.
I only saw improvement for games with windows 7 x64.

I'm quite disappointed ... all this waiting for almost nothing....

....But most people are not. I think the general consensus with Sleeping Dogs is that it was a pretty good port and runs well for everyone. Only a few people are having issues with it.

Windows 8 has its own issues too... I've got a few games that literally look like 8 bit colors. Crysis 2 has 63 FPS cap in DX11 too.

Whatever, it works flawless, no stuttering at all since they fixed it with a patch long ago. Maybe you just need to reinstall lots of stuff.

Alot of people would disagree with you. Me included. It's not great in DX11 at all. Very up and down and look at my system!

Now let's look at yours.... oh.... we can't. I smell something fishy. Sounds like your just trying to cause a stir.

Has anyone dinked around with 3D Vision and the ASUS VG278H and seen if 3D actually works again by firing up the IR Emitter properly when a 3D Game starts (since it has no option of allowing manual on and off once you are ingame like in the past since 301.X)?

I like the performance of some of these newer drivers but when I want to actually see some 3D, its completely broken. The games switch to 3D, but the emitter never turns on. On the 301's it works like normal. :bang:

GW2 still has terrible performance for me =/

I've been hearing AMD drivers are great for this game but it's too late I wasted 500 bucks =( Passed the 30 day return period by a few days and Newegg won't make an exception. Would have liked to exchange it for a 7970 which I heard works brilliantly for the game.

    *sigh*

This is going to be my main game for years to come and my framerates are all over the place it's unplayable.

At least Nvidia will fix it, give them enough time and I'm sure AMD will break it. Trust me you're better off sticking with green.

If a new driver is out in a few days I'll wait. Dont care if its WHQL, if it was beta I'd probably wait just the same.

But the game has had beta weekends for months. It's an nvidia sponsored game. The advertisement is all over geforce.com

Game is officially releasing tomorrow and has been in headstart for 3 days I just think it's ridiculous =/

I won't disagree with you that Nvidia is better and aside from GW2 the card is fantastic. But the original Guild Wars was my main game for 3 years and this is looking like it will be the same. So it's just frustrating =/

I'd wait it out man. File a bug report, etc.

No. Re-read. AMD issue . anyway that's how I understand it.

AMD's first Windows 8 WHQL certified driver doesn't do so well here. We spotted a significant performance loss in Crysis 2, limiting maximum FPS to 63 - no matter the resolution. Other games work fine though; this seems to be a limited issue.

I have no choice but to wait it out. I've filed so many bug reports lol.

My best bet would be to spend another 500 and SLI it so that the added performance will at least keept it a solid 60 xD But would rather hope they do something soon haha.

    That's not a win8 issue. Happen in win7 too.

Will the upcoming WHQL driver have an AA flag for Guild Wars 2? The in game FXAA just makes everything blurry.
