    Wait for newer cards..
3xGTX260's will be great but the rampage II extreme with 3 cards may cause u a little trouble..
Because of the 3rd card's PCI-E slot placement , it might not fit inside ur case easily..
For that alone you'll either have to find a casing that can easily allow the 3rd card or u may have to cut ur casing a little..
Or you could get a different mobo..

3xSLI is great but you might also want a PCI-E sound card if ur not into onboard sound.
Remember a decent sound card can add more fps or save u from losing fps..
Onboard with 3-Way in my view sucks some what..

Get the i5 or the i7..
The Rampage II is a great motherboard but I believe there are good choices in other brands too..
About the GTX295 , I personally wouldn't get one now.
I'd wait for the latest x2 or the latest GT 300 Series..

Try using it for a month if you can.. dont play games for a month :p
But if it's a total goner then there's obviously no choice..
Hopefully the newer cards will come out soon.

YES YOU CAN GO SLI WITH AMD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok the 980a wich was mentione earlier is the best way buy there are a few of the 760 and 680 even boards supporting SLI even tho virtually unheard of... regardless... your best option is to get a GTX285(wich in 3-way SLI is better than 2xGTX295's) and a PII 965, the only way you can do better is to drop the extra couple months pay on Intel BS... but lets face it, pertaining to your original q your smarter than that... AMD!!!
    Nvidia!!!!!

Go with the 275. Its just little slow than 285 but the price difference is 100$. The card costs 210$ (EVGA) and you can tri-sli instead of 285 SLI lol..yes.

I actually do agree with jmpnop on that, but tri-sli gtx285 is currently THE best u can get so really its up to your wallet.

I think that was a misprint unless ATI came out with the 5000 series already and I've been living under a rock... wich isnt really that unlikely lol

You have to wait 1 more month for the release of 5870. You can still hold on with your 8800 or 9800gx2..can't figure out, why you are in such a hurry..:3eyes:

I'm going to wait for next spring to upgrade my rig. Then there will be new PCI-EX 3.0 standard, new Intel processors, and GPU`s.
In the mean time, save some money :)
