2x 9800gtx+ sli to 1 gtx 560ti

    whats the performance going to be like in comparison to what i have now? spec is the same as sig

    running at 1920x1200

    just really to keep this rig ticking over for another year or so

    I'd say 15-20% better plus DX11 and 1G memory.

    I highly doubt it's 50% increase. 9800GTX+ is the same as the GTS250, GTS250 in SLi is slightly slower than a 5850. 560Ti is around 20% faster than a 5850. That's what I found out. But anyway 560Ti is a good upgrade.

    SLI 9800 gtx+ = gtx 285 if it scales 100% which doesnt happen always.
    gtx285 < gtx 460
    gtx 460 < gtx 560ti

    get the 560ti you won't be dissapointed, you will get a fair amount of performance.

    cheers all, been looking at core2quad extream's, can push this to 4.5ghz if needed but quad would be good (although i might as well go i7 then)

    win 7 64 and 560ti it is then :D

    wow what a difference ! and the best bit is the noise level is a lot better :)
