you think? i'd say gt4 in that bench is toughest gt3 is mostly cpu if you asked me.
gt2 and gt4 are more gpu dependant then gt1 or gt3

There are few parts in GT3 where it is not cpu bound at all and those parts tend to show the possible artifacting. I need to check out GT4 because for time reasons I only run first three. I need to check GT4 tomorrow. GT2 did not seem to show anything though.

Yeah GT4 - Mother Nature will show the max gpu wattage/temp.

    2nd is 3dmark Vantage

Turns out that this needs +38mV to be completely artifact free @ 1,1GHz in 3DMark03 GT3 (and Vantage Jane Nash). It shows some red pixel artifacting on ground and walls in that troll lair. Other game tests are fine. It turns out that this is probably not the best overclocker. I OC the memory a bit more to compensate the lost performance.

Honestly, 3DMark Firestrike test, 3DMark11 and Heaven 4.0 are useless tests when it comes to artifact testing.

For me world of tanks works as artifact tester really :D it gets em easiest.

As for lightning being expensive. It should be cheaper then 780 ti, remember we got VAT included in european price always. So it is either cheaper or similar priced as the high end 780 ti. And as always clock for clock the cards perform around the same. While 780 ti's sure go to high clocks way easier I guess that is thanks to the huge die size maybe?

Haven't managed to get AO work anywhere. Although there's probably conflict with it and umod (and texmod). I probably got it to work in ME3 but menus were running at single digit and it ended up always crashing before it finished loading save game.

Well found the limit of my card 1260/1625 +200mv , anything higher with the vdroops craps out. Could squeeze maybe a little more from the memory but 1625mhz is already pushing for Elpida.

    Hi Illnino,

I have the XFX 290x's in xfire (under water also with EK blocks) and was wondering what you reckon a nice stable overclock is with these cards (mine are reference with elipda also). i.e. a good core / mem combination?

Also what program are you using to get +200mv extra (Trixx?)

Lastly, are you running stock XFX bios or Asus bios or other?

    Ta man!

I think the best bet is to test each card individually to see what their limit is without and then with some voltage.

I'm using stock XFX bios and using MSIafterburner to overvolt.

Using 2 shortcuts to MSIafterburner, one with /wi6,30,8d,20 and the other just normal
