There was a review where they used Overdrive to do the overclocking and got a blackscreen, no matter what they tried to get back into the OS, safemode etc, they couldn't, and had to reinstall the entire system Using Afterburner, even with it set to apply OCing at boot, you can still boot in safemode to disable it if it kills your system
I don't use the CCC to Overclock, i just read that after doing it through AB, you just have to go into the CCC and whack the Power Limit up to 50% as well, and also tick the Enable Graphics Overdrive, but im not sure now if you need to touch the CCC now, as per the above I don't Apply any overclocking @ startup, i just load up AB manually, and whack the key for the Profile i wan't on, takes seconds, and avoids any balls ups
Well can't use ccc even if I want to tho should it read the 50% power limit increase there if I do it in AB? at all? I just unticked the "use ccc oc" thing
Ive just set my CCCs Overdrive back to defaults, unticked the Enable Graphics Overdrive, and reset the Power Limit back to 0%, just leaving Afterburner doing it all, and running fine.
Now I am starting to think I want a new case. But that V71 thermaltake isn't available yet and D900 costs loads xD I want something with good aircooling. My other case is phantom which cools really really nice my 7950 temps dropped by 10-20 But that is too small for my needs else for main system (imo)
I don't like many cases but I built a rig for two friend's in the last two years using the corsair cases these two they are so nice to work with and I love that you don't have to take the mb out to change coolers airflow is very good and very good feeling about them over all http://www.corsair.com/en/pc-cases/obsidian-series-pc-case/obsidian-series-800d.html http://www.corsair.com/en/pc-cases/graphite-series-pc-case/graphite-series-600t.html You guys know about the mantel drivers if not go get them from guru dl section duh
huh I just left my card at stock when I ain't gaming cause 1050 for core during desktop is annoying as hell.
Thats why i made another profile with lower clocks to switch to Get a Phantom 820, thats a cracking case , and shouldn't be too small.
Blimey just been checking hwbot for triple card scores for firestrike my overall score puts me 8th best in the world however my GPU score is 2nd best in the world, only beaten by 8 pack @ 42,000 GPU...I beat everything else triple 780 ti etc http://hwbot.org/submission/2485909_8_pack_3dmark___fire_strike_3x_radeon_r9_290x_29951_marks/ best in the world
That's some impressive clocks, I cant for the life of me get past 1100MHz on my 3 R290. But your CPU is really bottlenecking those cards.
