    asrock a320m hdv r3

    Cannot solve this problem

    when there is no load pc works fine
    but in 3dmark bench tests freezes after 10 to 30 seconds

    nothing is overclocked
    bought it new from ebay germany

    updated bios
    updated amd chipset
    latest rtx drivers

    etc

    is this cpu defective?

    How do I hard throttle to stock 3.7 Ghz?
    I need to disable auto boost right?

    What memory are you using ? and what speed is it running at ?

    Have you tried booting with default settings in BIOS ? Does it still crash ?

    If the ram is called TEAMGROUP-UD4-2400 then I don't see that on the QVL list for your board under Pinnacle Ridge.

    A shot in the dark.Cheap VRMs design in a motherboard and some 8 cores struggling to accomplish tasks with voltage lines with ripples from the PSU.
    Could it be the culprit?

    Proof that you read, but you didn't catch my drift.:rolleyes:
    I stated the VRMs design struggles, it is a low-end motherboard and a beefy CPU feeded by a cheap PSU.
    Picture this: a fat guy on a cheap ass bycicle going uphill on his worst hangover day and the chain is rusty...

    Have your tried anything else beside running 3D Mark ?
    I'm using https://www.karhusoftware.com/ramtest/ to test my memory overclock.
    It's very fast at finding errors. Prime95 is also good at testing ram stability.

    If i play 3d games then crashes are random and not so fast

    I am amazed.ALL software ultimately will rely on/depend/coexist/needs hardware. There is no way around. If the hardware parts are OK, so the software can run, else errors start to pile up.

    I am confused, which RAM does asrock a320m HDV r3 supports?
    is it 3200 or 2933?

    - Dual Channel DDR4 Memory Technology
    - 2 x DDR4 DIMM Slots
    - AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Pinnacle Ridge) support DDR4 3200+(OC)/2933(OC)/2667/2400/2133 ECC & non-ECC, un-buffered memory*

    but at the same time for pinnacle it shows 2933

    The * says .. depends on CPU.
    Officially 2933 MHz is max supported memory speed.
    But some run their memory a lot higher .. 3200 / 3333 / 3466 /3600 mHz

    Looking at the details I see 1 x 8 GB ram is this correct ?
    SoC Voltage (SVI2 TFN) 0.813 V is a bit low, (would work on some systems but try upping it) but ok if you are using only 1 memory stick.
    Try upping that to 1.0v You also need to run a memory test program to see if the memory gives any errors.

    before ram test I should up the volts to 1V in BIOS?

    if default BIOS is not working then I have an issue with RAM?

    Yes, try upping the SOC voltage to 1.0v.
    I have no experience with your motherboard, but maybe it defaults to SOC voltage 0.815v when ram isn't on the QVL list.
    Running SOC voltage with 1.0v is perfectly safe.
    In the early Ryzen 1800x days I had to use 1.15v to get 2 x 16 GB ram stable at 2933 MHz.
