The profile is there, I just added the other exe to it and I have not seen any flickering. I've been playing since I last posted.

And yes, you can create/modify profiles with inspector

So do these bring something new to the table compared to the 267.59 set?

    Thanks for the confirmation.

That is good news then as the 267.24/267.31 branch had the forced DX10 ambient occlusion bug which is fixed in the (takes a deep breath) 267.26/267.46/267.59/267.60 drivers. :D

The Guru3D review mentions 267.71 beta drivers too so I'm surprised they haven't been leaked already. I guess they're less useful now there's a newer driver available though.

Silly NVIDIA... the release notes for these drivers states that support has been added for the GTX 580 rather than the GTX 590!

looks normal here, i checked both us and uk and its 590..

Anyway about the driver, i tried only 2 benchmarks and they're nothing special kinda like 267.60 speeds..

I downloaded the PDF from the link on the GeForce.com driver page and it definitely reads GTX 580 under the "What's New in Version 267.84" section on page 8. :3eyes:

Here are some comparison benchmarks in Call of Duty Black Ops where I'm running around by myself and NVidia Control Panel/3D Settings was set to use High Quality Textures:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    7077, 30000, 191, 284, 235.900 - 270.32 with no AA
    6928, 30000, 189, 291, 230.933 - 267.59 with no AA

    6976, 30000, 195, 295, 232.533 - 267.84 with no AA

    5138, 30000, 155, 192, 171.267 - 270.32 with 8x AA
    5192, 30000, 154, 192, 173.067 - 267.59 with 8x AA

    5138, 30000, 154, 192, 171.267 - 267.84 with 8x AA

    4154, 30000, 128, 155, 138.467 - 270.32 with 16x AA
    4192, 30000, 127, 157, 139.733 - 267.59 with 16x AA

    4193, 30000, 128, 156, 139.767 - 267.84 with 16x AA

In some cases it's hard to compare between them cuz the number of frames is way different but in some of these test runs above the number of frames was about the same.

Overall these feel faster than the 267.59's and these new 267.84's might convince me to stop using the 270.32's for Black Ops because of the way they keep the min fps higher when no AA is used. Gotta try a few real games to say for sure on that.

Weird, it stopped it for me. Did you install the Nvidia SLI profile update 7?

I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I did have it added.

You still have those flickers, so what do you have these things set to in NVidia Control Panel?

    Ambient Occlusion
    Texture Filtering Quality
    AA Mode
    AA Setting
    AA Transparency

and in the game are you set to Trilinear Filtering or Bilinear?

OK I'll download and see if it works. But shouldn't these drivers automatically have the SLI profile update in it already?

Ambient occlusion is set to off

Texture filtering quality is on high quality

AA mode is on application setting

AA setting is on application setting

    AA transparency is off

And when texture quality is on high quality, trilinear filtering is disabled automatically.

Yah they do but I'm just telling you what I did in case it has something to do with it (although I doubt it does but you never know).

I just played 'Pier 17' where the flickering used to be horrendous and it is absolutely fine now.

When I try to save 3d settings, control panel crashes, but saves it every time. Is it only my problem, or for everybody? I am using Win7 x64 with international drivers.

OK for SLI compatability bits in inspector, do you have 0x02506405 for Crysis 2?
