    1440*900 . DOW2 is quite buggy anyway, turn off xfire(messager) or any ingame interface if you are using it.

    and your setting will affect other users if you are playing online. they will receive error "username setting is too high and is lagging the game".

    hence, for DOW2, i am running medium setting. if your setting too high setting, other users will curse and kick you off the game.

    Do you have vsync off?

    Ohh yes I think ! in all those games I played I had it off.
    But shouldn't that increase my frames.

    Well...would you rather have no tearing and be limited by your refresh rate, or have vsync off and see the screen splitting with higher fps? Try both. Make a decision. Profit.

    I have the same situation my card is getting hot and
    suddenly black screen when I play a game, I didn't have this problem with the older drivers. Maybe this drivers are not to friendly on 9800 GT cards.

    Or more likely the OC you have on your VGA card is too much and finally showing you?

    But you did, and by the looks of your sig you OC'd extremely high for a 9800GT. Damage might have been set in, don't go blaming drivers for your own aggressive, foolish overclocking....

    I believe the game is limited to 60 fps.

    I have an issue with Dead Space, with the previous driver 260.99 in game AA was working fine, now with the 266.58's there is no AA even if the in game setting says ON. :(

    Ok just confirmed this issue was not caused by the 266.58's, it seems that if i load my current game AA will not work but if i start a new one it is there :bang: this is in game AA only not the forced kind.

    change smooth framerate line, idk about ME2 but in ME1 it should work.

    you can increase the cap found in engine.ini file, or disable it all together >> smoothframerate = false.
    bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE
    MinSmoothedFrameRate=22
    MaxSmoothedFrameRate=120 (this is 62fps by default in all U3E games)

    With bSmoothFrameRate=False I'm getting Awesome FPS on Mass Effect 1 (Steam PC version) with these drivers.

    70-120FPS+ on worlds using the Mako
    70-90FPS+ on the Citadel
    120-150FPS+ on the Normandy
    200FPS+ during conversations with your team mates

    and this is at 1920x1080 on my Samsung PX2370 monitor at 60Hz with particles set to medium, textures at Ultra High, 4xAF, and no Film grain or vsync.

    The only issue i'm having is that i'm getting some flickering on some textures on Ilos that I wasn't with other driver sets. I didn't get the Control panel issue some people are having but it did crash once but it just seems a little slower as well.

    One major draw back for me is that these drivers suck for Fallout 3 or New Vegas and GPU usage on those two games is always below 40% with the 266.58's.

    I tested on my system briefly inside Docs house (New Vegas), max 60% gpu usage and frames capped by vsync (120fps). Mostly 30-40% usage.
    But no idea what the usage was on previous drivers.
