I have yet to see any real issues with 266.58 whql. I liked the 266.35 beta but with the aa bug, I figured I'd give whql a try. There about the same to me, if there is better IQ and performance fixes I don't notice them much. I am mainly playing CoD BO right now. I did not see any real performance increase over the beta but whqls don't compare whql vs beta but whql vs whql and the 266.58 are better than the 260.99 whql.

tried the drivers with my new msi 460, the driver loves to throttle down the speed of the card, even with prefer performance set

    going back to 263.06 telsa

UPDATE: nevermind, does the same thing on the telsa drivers, however, it at least puts the cores back up

Maybe the file corrupted while you download it?

    Try re-downloading it.

I killed my OC as soon as the problem started. And that is a total lie about drivers not killing cards. There was a batch of WHQL Nvidia drivers that were killing cards just a few months ago to the point where they pulled them off the site immediately and all the makers had warnings to not use them.....

Just posting a problem I had here that happened in normal and underclocks. It was resolved but it was a hassle and it may crop up again. I had never experienced anything like it with any video card before other then dying ones or ones without a sufficient PSU.

Drivers can kill cards, infact, a GAME killed my 8800 Ultra in the past. Loaded up Crysis, everything was fine till I quit. I played for about 2 hours straight. Went for dinner came back and loaded up Quake Wars to play with some friends. I got nothing but rainbow artifacts and triangles on my screen. It did it everytime after that, and I even started to get the same thing on my desktop.

The card played everything flawlessly before that. Here Crysis was killing cards, and got patched up. It was burning them up just like the Nvidia WHQL from about half a year ago. Yes, I had great airflow in my Thermaltake Armor at the time, and temps were always normal before hand.

Flaws in software do happen, just as in hardware.

Just one small criticism of a great set -- Why doesn't nvidia have a Two Worlds II profile in their drivers yet? The game has been patched include DX10 support, so I doubt using the Two Worlds (original game) profile is going to help very much when running in DX10 mode..........

These drivers work fine like all other NV drivers for my GTX 295's. Mainly tested in SC2 and DOW1. :)

NVIDIA looked into this and it's an application bug. NVIDIA can't do anything to fix it, it just happens if you run at a high enough framerate.

The developers were alerted to this issue and chose not to fix it, despite the fact that they were releasing DLC and other patch items.

Very smooth driver for World of Warcraft DX11. I was using 266.44 before and I really noticed the overall smoothness when changing to 266.58

less performant in 3DMark11 on my rig, testing 266.45q atm and its better.

otherwise 266.58whql are ok. Just that quadro's seems better for me, just better globally.

Bad drivers for me. I have choppy video playback and it doesn't matter if it's divx, h264, mpeg, all have the same choppiness. I use MPC with Win7codecs and CoreAVC with CUDA and all is fine with the previous WHQL drivers (260.99).

    Anyone else noticed this?

Actually in my case it was the opposite, this driver fixed that stuttering for me, but I had to install the driver thrice just to get a 'proper' install.

First time it didn't want to restart even with clean installation, second time used the driversweeper process and ycbcr444 wasn't saving.

Third time I normally uninstalled, and installed and everything has been wonderful since :D

Edit: By the way, how do you guys test for image quality? I don't see any obvious changes between these and other drivers.

I've gone back to 258.96 WHQL drivers, with these new drivers I ended up with very high idle temps when running 2 monitors, with 258.96 my card idles around 40c with dual monitors!

Also the very high idle temps (70c+) was even happening even though the card was running at 2d clocks, I use nvidia inspector to set all performance levels to 2d when not gaming and verified the actual clock speeds via afterburners osd & my g15's lcd screen.

Usually If there is better IQ (for example quadro) i see sharper textures, especially in Cod5 waw or Dirt2 (i force AF in both).

I am having really bad fps drops with this driver, I can being @ 130fps then bottom out to 5fps not even moving. I do not know if this is SLI/2d surround or GT200 related.
