    Funny you say that.

    Now that I look predominantly at the Enterprise market, you can get off the shelf 18TB drives for £300 brand new!! Albiet SAS.

    I know thats not everyones cup of tea. But since moving away from the consumer NAS (QNAP, Netgear etc) to more server based stuff, with using Freenas (TrunNAS now just have not upgraded yet), i get far better performance and resiliance at a much lower cost. Its just the leap of faith.....
