Mass Effect 2 freezes constantly. Any suggestions?
Great !! Works for me. Had this problem after installing this new set (but never had before)
Thx m8
I have a few issues
When ever I open a new option within the control panel the control panel process runs at 100% CPU for a period before finally showing me the option.
I am also having issues with detection of the TV connected via DVI to HDMI cable. I havn;t quite figured it out but appears it may be an issue with sleep. as if i disconnect the DVI plug from my GFX card then plug it back it the TV is once again detected.
Having a good time with these drivers, working well and improved compared to 259.31 for my GTX 460.
BFBC2, Lost Planet 2 Benchmark, Mafia 2 and Kane & Lynch 2 are all improved over the previous incarnation.
So far these have easily been the most complete driver for the new GTX460 imho. if you have a newer Fermi, these may be the drivers for you, at least for now anyways!
Oh, loving Kane and Lynch, oh how those consoles suckers would cry looking at this game running on a proper machine!
Alright time to try these, I'll post feedback later.
EDIT: Everything runs the same here than 258.96 ...
EDIT2: Just read on Nvidia forums that new drivers will come out next week.
Thx for that saved my time.
I'm still waiting for them to fix AA in SC2 blurring the minimap. I'm not even sure it's something that nvidia can fix.
Same here, had no issues at all so far with these and my GTX460.
The console suckers wouldn't cry, i tryed that before, and got an answer along the lines of "you paid all that money for that much difference, you got scammed big time, do you have the receipt?"
Let them talk, they don't know better.
We have AA and AF and DX10 and DX11, and all our games we can play
1920x1080 and higher, so our games will always look better:bigsmile:
So tested how many watts my Computer uses now.
Idel: 210w +/_
Load, in Crysis, VeryHigh 1920x1080 DX10 x64 2xAA: 465w Max.
Load, only FurMark 1.8.2: 510w Max.
Load, with IntelBurnTest and FurMark: 610w Max.
I had with my 2x Geforce 8800GT in Cysis: 400w Max.
So 65w more :eek3:
But hee my 2x Geforce GTX 460 1GB are MUCH faster :supercool
It's a fact PC's look better graphically. The people that flame PC Gamers are those that can't afford one. 99% of the time that is the case. I own consoles for the exclusives though, and boy do I wish I could play them higher res on my PC at 60FPS.
When is some new whql from nvidia website drivers coming out?
They say next week (nvidia forums)
Are you running Evga Precision, by chance? I had a similar issue with ME2 until I uninstalled the program. You may also want to disable the 3D driver unless you're using it.
Well, youtube still randomly crashes with these drivers. It either crashes the display driver and then the system recovers, or it locks up the computer and I have to push the reset button.
I don't know if this is a Nvidia's fault or Adobe's, but it's fairly annoying.
No problems for me on my 470 with Windows Visa 64 so far.
Bad Company 2
World of Warcraft
Mafia 2 demo
All smooth and with no issues.
thats about 100W more than i was able to pull from this
Yes it is a lot, but i will never run anything higher then Crysis, so my Computer
will (i think) never go above 480w.
eVGA GTX285 @ stock clocks, Win7-64bit
Left4dead 2 - 3 crashes, straight to desktop with no nvidia driver error (had to disable multicore support for stability)
Mafia 1 (replaying for the rel. of Mafia 2) Twice had complete black screen loss of gpu output
Just Cause 2 - crash to desktop twice & system lock once
BC2 - 3 game lockups, had to taskman kill process
Have had NO crashes in these games under 259.31 or any previous driver (including recent Quadros.) No thermal/power issues here and I always manually set fan speed using Precision to 80% always to keep temps below 80C (usually 75-79C) on my gpu in all games. In fact I can't recall the last time I've had a game or any application cause a system lock, though one of the older (pre-256) drivers gave me nvidia driver crashes that was 1 specific driver and many months ago.
its gtx285 u have? did u install everything on "disc" like 3d and sound?
How is this driver any better than the 259.31 ? Cause I have absolutely no problems whatsoever with the 259.31. I think I'll wait for a better driver than 259.3x.
